This is the problem with the Trump Cult. Everything is absolute when it comes to him. You question nothing when it comes to him. Its pretty insane. Its like yall think he is capable of doing no wrong. You question everything else, but when it comes to Trump. Well, he would have made the right decision for everything and would have done better than anyone else ever.

That tends to be the way people feel about someone who is conning them. They are felt to completely trust that person as they are getting jammed in the arse.

you had a government agency rewriting definitions of words and politicians just straight up lying to everyone.
The damage to "science" and trust in public officials is going to be huge. If there is any lesson to be learned from all of this: you have to think for yourself. If you export your "safety" and well-being to government, you are going to be unsafe.

NO

HE

DIDN’T.

He was appointed to a panel lol. He's been a talking head for 4 decades.

All Pence and Trump had to do is not appoint him as covid czar. It's really that simple.

Regarding Covid, what trouble are we in right now?

Also, this place 100% credited and hailed Trump for getting isthjs very vaccine in less than 1 year but now we magically pretend Trump is absolved entirely of all the vaccine stuff you rail against?

This is such a correct take.

Imagine how the media would have covered the nursing homes deaths that occurred on Andrew Cuomo's watch if Trump had not already signed off on an emergency and sent the Mercy ship to NYC. That visual made it impossible for them to pursue a narrative of Covid death's being on Trumps' hands.

I think Trump realized people were going to be panicked and tried to give them resources and time until they to came to their senses. Which sadly, even among many Republicans, took too long. But that is not Trump's fault.

There are ways he could have gotten rid of Fauci. Trump in the very least should have treated him the exact same way he treated the WHO, which I celebrate Trump for doing.

over 1 million Americans have lost their lives to COVID. Remember all the tickers at the bottom of the news broadcasts? Remember Biden during the campaign debate using that as a talking point when we hit 300k? I remember.

1. Trump got all the credit around here for getting the vaccine to us so quickly

2. He said the trouble we are in "right now" so the question is fair and still stands, what trouble right now are we facing?

In March 2020: "Trump isn't listening to the experts!!"
In July 2022: "Trump listened to the experts!!"

Those people would criticize Trump for curing cancer. "He's going to overpopulate the earth!!"

You're right. I meant infection, used incorrect terminology. It was 95% effective against wild type infection in the initial study, right?

It's a common mistake that was used to coerce the public into getting vaccinated. Save grandma and all.

Yes, 95% effective. That was based on only 170 cases with 162 in the placebo vs 8 in vaccine arm. If 'suspected but unconfirmed' cases had been factored in (why did they not test all?) the efficacy was 19%.

This is hardly data that should warrant the vaccinate everyone campaign that was forced upon us. The vaccines should have been promoted only in the vulnerable until more data was gathered.

President's make tough decisions, you're admitting he made a decision about self preservationists and not what is best for the people, crown him!
