6) Multiple morale disasters that eventually snowballed into an avalanche of widespread Trauma
7) Election Monkey Business SNAFU (turning Trump's easy reelection romp into BS "Victory" for Potato -- and current ongoing Nightmare

While true, this isn't how they were sold to the public. They were originally sold as a preventative measure. The WHO wasn't on board with this, but American politicians were.
It was a failure of bureaucracy, not medical science.

Then they lied, repeatedly, and are still trying to force them on children even though children don't need help to fight them.
If transmission defense is out or greatly reduced, so much of the policy and messaging fails as a result. If you take out that, then it becomes much more individualized. I think the vaccine may well have kept my dad out of the hospital and the absence of it probably made the difference between life and death for my uncle, who died. But those are individual choices impacting individuals and the government overreach can't be sustained on that basis. They had to have the transmission argument to exert the control.
And this is coming from someone who did get it (the two shots at least)
