There’s a potential plan that would allow pregnant mothers to collect child support before the baby is born. S. Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) introduced the Unborn Child Support Act. The bill would give mothers the ability to receive child support payments while they are pregnant. “Life begins at conception, and this bill is a straightforward first step towards updating our federal laws to reflect that fact. We are hopeful that Democrats will join this bicameral effort to provide mothers with child support payments while their child is in the womb,” said Rep. Johnson. The Unborn Child Support Act allows a court, in consultation with the mother, to award child support payments while the child is still in the womb and retroactively up to the point of conception as determined by a physician. Some parents believe this will help moms with the financial burden that comes before a baby is born. “The father of the child is just as responsible as the mother is,” Diana Quiett said.

I wonder if this is a play to get the court to let the abortion trigger law go into effect.

I'm not sure how I feel about it if so. Need to think on it more.

How do you prove paternity? If the father denies paternity, what happens?

Goose-Gander situation.

If the fetus is a "child," and the pregnant woman is deprived of the ability to terminate the pregnancy, is the male any LESS responsible for pregnancy costs than he is for child-rearing costs?

PROBABLY wait until it is possible to do genetic testing and then make the payments retroactive to the date of conception (or whatever the earliest date for "support" is implemented by the Legislature)

I’m good with this. The only problem is that she has full custody. You have to allow me 1 30 minute visit a week. I’ll get as close as I can.

That isn’t the point

He’s using the democrats love of expanding welfare/assistance to force them into saying it’s a baby.

It’s a lose lose for democrats. If they support it, they say life begins at contraception and are at odds with their abortion beliefs.

If they don’t support it, then they are telling poor expecting mothers they don’t deserve assistance yet.

so they collect payments for 8 months from 6 different guys they say is daddy, then kill the baby at abortion clinic across state lines, baby sold to medical reseller of baby parts, no baby not paternity test possible so no one can sue to get money back cause its not their baby

sounds like they figured out a great new fraud scheme for whores
