So, is Cromartie a coach at aTm?

Also he doubled down in his comments and replies to others.

Man I’m not trying to sound like a coach. Y’all just don’t like those who keep ??. I don’t want for shite in this recruiting. I’m going to be me. I’ve had my time and played. It’s my responsibility to Coach/Mentor and Teacher in this game and in the game of life.

He is listed as a GM (graduate assistant) on aTm's website.

Josh clearly said (and repeated it multiple times) he was talking about schools that didn’t have a good NIL plan during the last cycle and hence they started making empty promises to not get left behind. 8&4 was ready for NIL out the gate and they have the money
I don't think it's A&M but there is a difference between promising NIL money and having a system setup. I don't believe A&M was as ready as we think, buy they were ready to offer a bunch of money. You're telling me A&M was THAT far ahead of EVERY school out there? I don't think so. I don't think it's A&M simply because they could easily backfill big promises, but that doesn't mean their system was ready to go.

Promises are cheap. Fulfilling promises are expensive. Maybe these athletes need to do their part of the deal before they get paid. I know if I were doling out NIL money I would want to make sure each recipient did their job before getting paid. Doing your job to get paid may be a new concept to these young prima donnas.

We need people who WANT to be at LSU.
Well I prefer not to have morons here also and you have to be one to turn down the rumored offers A&M was giving out.

Dumb.
The two situations are not alike at all.
Joe Burrow graduated from Ohio St, fought in a QB battle, didn’t win. Transferred as a graduate to seek another QB battle.
Matthews was just bought to play at A&M.

If its a close decision on what school they want to attend, why not go to the one who has the most nil opportunity

Pate was definitely referencing USC.

Reminds of all the post not wanting a QB transfer from OSU Bc LSU had a full QB room of players that WANTED to be at LSU.
Nothing to do with NIL and current climate

I've heard and read here Mathews' heart was with LSU but LSU couldn't match aTm's money and mom needed the money.

Yet, there post after post not liking it Bc we had players that chose LSU first

See!
Now, with NIL, you don’t want a stud Bc he chose a much higher NIL deal. How dare that kid not turn down $$ and show love for LSU. Get over it! If youre able to get a stud, you take em.

Entire point of the thread.

I don’t remember reading those kind of posts. I remember lots of excitement behind Burrow visiting and eventually choosing us. You comparing an apple to an orange. The situations aren’t remotely similar.
I’m referencing that you don’t want that attitude in your locker room. I’m not oblivious to us paying people money too, but he only went to A&M because of $$$$. Not anything else. The damn DC, his main recruiter, left before signing day. Matthews was looking for the biggest hand out the whole time. I know this for fact.

Shut up. If it means they come here after getting burned for money, that means they always wanted to be here first.....but money got them.
Quit acting like you wouldn't take 1M to go play somewhere.
Let me tell.you what will happen...they will.leave and there will be lawsuits that eventually gain some teeth. In the end, it will be decided that these high school kids need representation when signing these deals.......yeah that's right...agents.
Then the college game dies

NIL was never meant to be this. It was supposed to allow players to make money off their NAME, IMAGE AND LIKENESS. As in, signing autographs, some type of merchandise brand, youtube videos, video games. I was all for this type of installment.
It’s turned into just what went on behind the scenes, and then some, with boosters paying kids X amount to come here. I don’t agree with these college kids signing $9 million deals when they’re a high school senior and haven’t proved anything. Its the pitfall of college athletics.
