hate to admit it but Liverpool is my sleeper pick to win the league.
Everyone is thinking arsenal but ‘pool are the only club that has proven they could consistently take on city. they have the experience.
city I think will have a hangover after winning everything and they already lost their captain. if they lose Bernardo, than I elevate ‘pool from sleeper to title favorite

This is said every year and City end up winning it all. My expectation is that we finish top 3. City are always good, Arsenal have improved, United are still in contention, Newcastle are scary, Tottenham have made some decent signings…it won’t be easy.

City had a hangover last season and would’ve lost had arsenal not bottled it. Also they champions league is what they always wanted…I expect to see a little bit of drop off

Great signing! Always impressed when I watched him play.

Only 22 as well. Plenty of potential to still grow into.

Ecstatic with Mac and Szobo
Would love Lavia even though the price might be a little high. Then a young athletic CB would be icing on the cake
Don’t think it would happen, but I kind of wish we would sell Thiago and Matip just to actually get some return on investment instead of letting every single contract run out. That said, I also would love to see one more year with Thiago semi-healthy

Those midfields would get run over without a DM... So either Fabinho still needs to start or we need to sign one...
There are more ready to start options, but they are expensive... Lavia seems like a good choice because of age and he would eventually count as homegrown... Use this year to slowly transition and phase out Fab
I cant believe we have actually signed Dominik Szoboszlai... He's a player Ive wanted us to get since watching him play against us on those Salzburg teams.. I didnt see us paying that type of ££ for another attack minded #8... Glad it happened fast and we didnt have to see it played out over an extended period.. Something tells me Klopp intervened here and said to get it done...

Yeah, Klopp definitely threatened someone to get this signing done. Didn’t FSG put out a statement last week about how this transfer window would be tough due to spending restraints or lower revenues? Lol

Seen rumors of Henderson to Saudi Arabia. Will gerrard give another assist to his club? Can he save me and masterag several posts next season?

I think Hendo’s leadership will be vital. We can’t lose him and Milner in the same window
He’s not going to be in our best starting XI anymore which I think we can all agree is a good thing

So what do you boys think….Romeo or no Romeo? I know not for 50. I would sign a starting RB and put TAA in the 6 and grab a backup LCB.

Not familiar with Lavia but 50 seems like a lot. Maybe if we could do 40 plus incentives rising to 45 or 48 and pay in installments? Feel like we have a good relationship with Southampton so maybe they would be amicable.

Seems bizarre to me we haven’t been linked with any rb

So apparently we took an unsuccessful £200m swing at Mbappe, if Spanish journos are to be trusted. Hmm…

Ha I’ll believe it when Joyce says we did
Who’s gonna start the new season thread? I’m never doing it again after last season

So what type of formation do you boys want? Sounds like we are bidding on Schuurs, he could play in a back 3 or RB evidently. I would not be opposed to a 3-4-2-1 and unleash TAA.
