My long term confidence is at 9 or 10. My expectations are somewhat tempered this year but I'm hopeful for a great year.

8 because we haven't seen him coach in the SEC yet but other than that, there's literally nothing to indicate that he can't/wont be very successful at LSU. He's been doing all the right things since at LSU and his record obviously speaks for itself. The only unknown is how he will handle coaching in the SEC.

I do think we need to temper our expectations a tad for this season, though. He's damn near rebuilding the team/program and he's not gonna go out there and kick arse/take names every single week. Next year will be super fun regardless of what happens this year. I fully expect the Rant to be calling for his head by October though

He’s the first coach we’ve hired that I felt was prepared to be the coach.

Saban was 34–24–1 at Michigan State
Miles was 28–21 at Oklahoma State
Ed O was 10–25 at Ole Miss (6-2 at USC*)
Kelly….

92–39 At Notre Dame, one championship appearance. Won big at Cincy and went to three straight DII titles winning 2 of them…

7 - he's never had a really good quarterback and/or offense. He also hasn't played Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, etc. week in and week out. His offensive style/philosophy does concern me though. Time will tell.

8-9. He's probably the most qualified hire we've ever made and brings EXACTLY what we need after Miles/O, discipline and structure. Idk if he'll win a title but when he's done I have no doubt the program will be in better shape than when he got here.

He has been more successful than the people before him at every job he has had, also is one of the winningest coaches of all time

Can't give a 10 since I think that means perfection. Nobody is perfection. I think he's killing it but I haven't agreed with everything he has done. The only real moves I make in questioning so far is him hiring Cooks as DB coach. Other than that, hard to really question what he has and is doing. Going to be fun watching LSU while he's here.

I'm still shocked at how little respect the media gives LSU on this hire. There's simply no debate even on paper he was the best hire for any college this offseason. They also STOLE a coach from a blue blood which does not really happen very often. Riley and BK are very rare happenings in NCAA.

You have a flawed way of thinking.

We know nobody is perfect so you should judge on that knowledge.

If you have no qualms with him other than he isn't perfect then it should be a 10 because otherwise you think he's doing the best that is possible.

Some would say he was responsible for the death of some kid a ND. His reputation isn’t entirely clean if that story is true. I’m not saying it’s true but the truth lies somewhere between. My confidence is a 8 or 9 with coach BK

Too many uncertainties about college football right now. Let's put it this way, les miles won 111 games in 11 full seasons, 2 sec titles and national title games, one national title. If Kelly did this, would that be a 10?
