No, not really. Funny how people are taking Elon's side on this one, dude makes the most outlandish promises, and rarely delivers on any of them.

Elon has made a grave mistake here, you can't just walk away from a merger like this. Also, FYI, without his twitter army, TSLA stock will get pummeled. That's literally the platform he created his fanboi's with.

You know exactly zero about the stipulations in the offer that would allow Musk to walk away.

Can/just did. He’s backing them into a corner & it’s a pleasure to watch.

You certainly can back out if they lied about the business and misrepresented the numbers.

It's skyrocketing the past few days. About to do a split.

you are talking out of your arse, elon didnt walk away, twitter voided the deal by refusing to provide the company data required to complete the deal, that is why elon walked out. twitter voided the deal, elon simply made it official by leaving the table because twitter was just wasting his time

Evidently those whom work for Twitter completely disagree with you.

A Twitter employee told NBC News Friday Elon Musk “destroyed” the company after it was announced he will attempt to back out of a deal to acquire the platform for $44 billion.

OF COURSE YOU CAN!
It might cost Elon $1B, but in the years required to bring that endpoint to fruition and w/o transparency on the bot issue, TWTR will destroy itself.

But this isn’t a merger…. He made an offer to buy something contingent on due diligence findings. Similar to making an offer on a house; but only if the inspection comes back satisfactory and it isn’t eaten up with termites.

Twitter didn’t let the home inspector go in the crawl space and even check for termites. They blocked him off and said no, you can’t look down there.

What experience do you have with multi-billion dollar acquisitions? I personally have zero. But you seem to be very confident in your position. Please provide some more concrete data. Thank you.

Sure you can. When the seller is clearly not acting in good faith.

Rarely delivers other than starting one of the biggest banks in the world, an electric car company worth more than the next ten biggest automakers by market cap, and a company that sends rockets into space?

Tell me more what he hasn't delivered.

Oh yes you can. Given the level of fraud (in terms of fake users) you absolutely can.

If GM lied about the amount of cars they sold by 10-20% in their annual reports, Mary Barra would be in jail. This is why the members of the media generally are audited by third party companies to certify their viewership, because advertisers require a non-biased number.

Which of course leads us to the notion that Twitter is really a media member and thus not subject to 212 protection. But we all know that.
