The ruling coalition earmarked an extra 24.3 billion euros ($25.6 billion) to finance changes that will likely make many farmers drastically reduce their number of livestock or to get rid of them altogether.

They've taken the Canadian playbook and improved it.

Instead of wasting time and resources to annoy city dwellers, they're blockading supply points and starving the city dwellers.

I see the boats now blocking the harbor.

Do boats have nuts to hang? Is there such a thing? Where is the proper place to hang them? The transom?

They are. They want to vilify those who fight and use it as an excuse to usher in full authoritarian control. It will likely work in Europe. US is the only country where people can win due to guns. But we gotta wake up soon and decide to do something

I love how their politicians are calling it a conspiracy theory. The WEF isn’t even hiding what they are doing. It’s the most evil group of people on the planet

This is scary. It's incredible to watch a first world gov't force a decision on its people like this.

Imo the current upheaval we are seeing around the world can be traced back to the 2020 election. Whether you believe in stolen elections or not, it’s quite clear that a great many countries around the world don’t view this administration as legitimate. Couple that with a yammering, bumbling corrupt fool who is incapable of projecting American strength around the globe and this is what you end up with. Previous administrations would have quickly checked the Netherlands because it’s not in our best interest for the god damn Dutch to destroy their nation’s agricultural industry. Instead we have an administration cheering this type of bullshite on. Hell, even if that mashed potato brain clown was able to throw a couple coherent sentences together, they aren’t going to pay him any mind because they don’t see him or this administration as legitimate.

In this country, farmers are overwhelmingly white and conservative. The media will just pull out the white supremacists card should our farmers fight back.

My dad drove a tractor from north Alabama to Washington in the late 70’s along with a ton of farmers from all over the USA. I’m sure it would be the same today if the government pushed far enough.

He also helped a farmer in New Madrid Missouri extract about 30,000 bushels of soybeans that a court ordered confiscated at a bankrupt grain storage facility. The farmers went in the locked gates and emptied the bins of the stored grain that legally belonged to Wayne Cryts. Federal Marshals we’re on hand but knew the government was in the wrong.

The biggest beneficiaries of globalism and the biggest cry babies in the country. All during Trump’s presidency they cried and bitched because prices were low because of the tariffs and trade war with China. Now that prices are high they are crying about high input costs wanting the government to do something to lower their input costs. All while bitching about that same government.

ETA: Can anyone tell me what they are protesting?

ETA2: Fine I will just do it myself.

At the heart of the protest are targets introduced last month to reduce harmful nitrogen compounds by 2030, the latest attempt to tackle a problem that has plagued the country for years. read more Reductions are necessary in emissions of nitrogen oxides from farm animal manure and from the use of ammonia in fertilizer, the government says, estimating a 30% reduction in the number of livestock is needed.

Ok I agree with the Dutch farmers on this one, but my comments about American farmers still stand.
