How can anybody look at the U.S. Government and say:
“Gee, these guys are doing such a good job! We should give up more of our rights so the federal government can grow even more powerful, because they have our best interest in mind!”

You’re not supposed to. You’re normal and well adjusted.

The left have always had ideals that aren't practical. That's their problem. They are irrational, emotion motivated humans who can't understand nuance and cannot accomplish what their unrealistic ideals pursue. Some of their ideals are.good. most are bad. But they don't know how to implement even their good ideas with rational, practical governance.

In general people who subscribe to liberal philosophies are younger, immature, with little to no life experience or they have been sheltered their entire life from the real World.

I can’t wrap my mind around how people support it, especially the radicals. I mean, how can they honestly believe that horse shite? Can’t people think rationally and use common sense anymore? Has the modern education system robbed them of that ability?

Yes. The culture has been purposely dumbed down, by many means. Schools are just one way. The entertainment, the food, the toothpaste... It all has the effect of dumbing down the masses, which is dangerous because most are only of moderate or poor intelligence in the first place. If people still talked today how we talked in this country a hundred years ago, many people wouldn't even comprehend what they were saying.

Seems to me they believe we have a democracy that they control, and they want that control so they can force everyone to think like they think. But, as someone said, they're too young and ignorant to understand that we don't live in a democracy where the mob gets to step on the rest.

I do. I understand it easily and completely. It's Marxist. It's evil. It's destructive. It's anti-God. It's demonic.

Able minded people don’t understand the disease of mental illness, called Progressivism.

If you replace the word progressive with communist or Marxist, it makes a lot more sense.

What are they “progressing” towards? What is so bad about American society in the last 50 years that one somehow thinks that radical change is necessary? If it’s such a bad place that needs to “progress”, why do so many people try to come here? Why do our opponents (and many of our friends) envy us and fear us? Why is it that most everywhere I go in America I meet honest, decent, hardworking, and for the most part happy people? What do the ideologues want to progress to?

I’ve been reading DU to try to understand them - the main problem is they are getting all their news from msnbc - they live in an alternate reality. And they will never venture to a right leaning news source to get a different perspective.
I think they are mainly sad miserable people

Just have to remember your typical prog was probably a loser in high school and college (if they made it there to begin with); they’ve got this mentality that it’s really been others (especially those that come from a small town) holding them back and not their own dumbass decisions and have such an inferiority complex that it morphs into some kind of weird superiority complex where they think they’re better than the rest of us plebes because they hold the same viewpoint celebrities (the ultimate popular kids) and the media dish out and use it like some kind of security blanket. Parroting what they hear on tv and social media makes them vicariously get to be the popular kids they never had the opportunity to.

I was having a political conversation with a guy I see at the local pool I swim at this last week. He’s a good guy but he’s def a progressive lib. He honestly thinks Biden isn’t anyway responsible for high gas prices or the record high inflation. I was just mind blown at how someone can sit there and think that. Even after relaying facts to him he still didn’t want to believe it. I just changed the subject and talked to him about something else. Some people will believe what they want to believe no matter what. And those same people will def will never admit that they’re wrong.

You must have a triple digit IQ. Most progstains are stupid and/or crazy.

It’s a spiteful mindset driven by a desire to punish those they look to with seething envy (usually wealth driven but can even be anger towards those who just appear to have “happy lives”).
You have a lot of younger idealistic college age self styled intellectuals who believe they (of course) will someday be among the Marxist utopian leadership and will (rightfully) live as part of the ruling class due to their intelligence, lol.
Then you have others who hold no such fantasies but are happier than pigs in mud to imagine everyone knocked down to their own level and will happily follow anyone they believe will accomplish that task for them.

I think this is right on the money. Progressivism and Marxism at its heart is about vengeance, it is not at all about making for good communities and healthy families. Most progs are just happy with the destruction as long as everyone else can be as miserable as they are. Then you have the elites at the top who actually benefit from it all, they are much more conniving and malicious.

The vast majority of Groomers can’t agree on the definition of what’s a woman. Is it any wonder why the US is in complete disarray?

You're not going to. Seeking to find reason among the unreasonable is a fool's errand.
