I see people turn on family, friends, athletes, and entertainers over politics. Too much FOX/CNN. Watching the sheep turn their lives upside down over a differing point of view is hilarious.

Many LSU fans literally hate Joe Burrow now. It’s absolute lunacy, both the left and right “cancel” who they disagree with politically.

I mean where I lived people I thought were friends wanted to bar me from society for not taking an experimental drug for a virus with a 99% survival rate. Then those same people want to strip my fricking birthrights away.

And I see too many people trying to be friends with everyone.

Different views and completely different life values are not the same thing. I will unfriend anyone who supports transgender athletes, late term abortions, pedophilia, grooming, and other such perversion.

Yeah these things ramp up. And then suddenly it's 1861, 1917 or 1941 and you have to pick a side.

There are some politics a person can support that do decide whether or not I want to hang out with that person and their kids.

My friends and family span across the political spectrum. It’s pretty apparent on here that most of the posters live in a conservative echo chamber. I am moderate right but I don’t think every liberal is inherently evil. I probably have more associates that are liberal.

People don't typically associate with others they don't have much in common with. That can include family too.

Politics are heightened compared to in the past but the above is nothing new and even a basic sociology course in college teaches you how you naturally gravitate towards certain groups based on factors including political beliefs.

it's pretty pathetic, both sides tilt nickel to the highest bidder.

They don't give a damn about us.

I have no interest in being friends with liberals. I would never date one either

I only befriend Trekkies, people who think The Simpsons should have ended after Season 8, and people who think The Cure > The Smiths.

All other people suck.

No more free marketplace of ideas.

You're either red or blue, black or white, gay or straight, with me or against me.

We were not here 10 years ago. We are a simple -minded culture.

I’m fine with people who have a different opinion but can’t stand the far left whack jobs.

It's all fun and games until frick up policies start fricking with your personal wealth and ability to provide for your family.

If you want to stick your dick in another man's butthole have at it. Cut you dick or tits off because you're mentally ill, don't care.

Also, grooming my kids and grandkids ain't going to fly, either.

You've asked for the divide by pushing too far.

It just shows how small minded they are.

I learned long ago in life that there were going to be people in my "group" that I don't agree with. Take Bama fans for example. An awful lot of them are just dumber than hell. Or some of them were worse, Jeff Gordon fans.

Point being you can whittle away at the people you disagree with over each issue and end up in a room all alone at the end.

To be fair, The Cure is better.

But if you are a coach and your views don't fit the authoritarian accepted narrative then not only are you hated by the media but all so fined a 100k.
