Can we just get the 2 days of reading material so we can see if we agree with his proposition? It’s the drawn out banter that turns people off. I’m intrigued but I don’t have the data he referenced in the OP

This is a good work on a lot of the symbolism and what not.
Vigilante Citizen has the GOAT occult-symbolism piece, IMHO.

Also, all those super models at the end would have been children.
In the final. Scene of the film in the toy store where Cruise and Kidman "make up", their daughter is running around at first. Two men in suits are also in the area watching.
By the end of the scene... The daughter has completely vanished.

Eyes Wide Shut is billed as an erotic mystery but it's just the opposite, the point of the movie is how fricked up sex is: jealousy, temptation, fantasies about infidelity (including by wife of dying man), AIDs, prostitution (wealth power dynamic), child prostitution, gay bashing, and at the end Nicole Kidman still wants to frick, that's the punchline.
Kubrick originally wanted to make the film as a sex comedy. The mystery adds spice but it is not what the movie is about and way too much has been read into the mysterious aspect, it's mainly a movie about sex that's not sexy at all.

Really? How would you know?
quote:His first statement: "It's the entire point of the movie."
And if so...Which part(s) are BS?
As this thread goes on, he'll pull away from that initial declaration and eventually claim that it was an intentional overstatement meant to prove a point.
It's what he does.

The only fact I have gleaned from this thread is that Ham Solo is Liberator.

They made him film the fake moon landing, he exposed a lot of it with the symbolism in The Shining. He was a tool of the societies but also in rebellion to them, at odds. So yeah that was the whole entire point, it was a frick YOU to them, I'm exposing all your shite. And they immediately killed him for it
That's a theory

So your position is:
NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING (unless they belong to a Masonic Lodge?)
I say they would have more credibility discussing an organizations secret rituals if they were at least a member of the organization

Btw -- most people (like lower-level Masons themselves) have NO idea what's going on at the 32-33 degree levels.
Yes, my point exactly, thx.

Cinemaphiles have a love affair with Kubrick and conspiracy...its as old as the Moon.

Eh, the whole movie seems like a dream. It's more than just the Illuminati stuff.

As it is based on source material called "Dream Story", I tend to agree.
The classic twist by Kubrick is that the "awake" part is all dreamy and multicolored. The "dream" part is dark, foreboding and seems more "real" than the awake part - "where the rainbow ends" (yet still somehow enticing). Almost like an erotic nightmare world.
The Illuminati part could have just been the framework he chose to create those two worlds. Or, he could have been trying to open folks' eyes.
IDK because he died/got Hillaried before folks could really ask him. Now, that might not have made much difference and Stanley didn't often explain his films very deeply.

Yes because if you’re not in a lodge you don’t know what we/they do

You have no idea what you are talking about.

If Masons really have parties like that, I'll have to ask one to be one.
That's pretty exciting to know that it's more than just semi-retired insurance agents and contractors constantly trying to network.

You won’t convince him or even get him to admit he knows what he’s talking about. They believe that Tom Hanks outted us in DaVinci Code

And in a wild self-serving plot-twist, Liberator = Ham Solo = Galactic Inquisitor.
Freemason stuff always manages to trigger several of you. (Little too close to home?)

You/they/brotherhood "build stuff" and perform "humanitarian" deeds, and "serve the communitah". Oh...and are NASA astronauts who fly to the Moon.
(Did I do that right?)

Her bare arse in the movie represents the Moon. It's symbolic of the fact that Tom Cruise faked tapping her arse, just like Kubrick and the Masons and NASA and the Nazis and CIA & LBJ and Nixon faked landing on the Moon.
