-Physical shoving of 2 USC while intoxicated in the stands.
-Verbal antognizing from 2 LSU fans of 3 separate groups of USC fans, trying to start another physical altercation
-When LSU scores or makes a big play, dancing in the center isle or soliciting high 5's from young USC fans
-Drinking in the stands (they were thrown out of the staduim)
-Throwing hot dogs to the visitor section (also thrown out)
-well rehearsed, ignorant, but malicious chants of a sexually explicit nature toward the home team. There were some adolescent kids in the immediate vicinty.
-Constantly badgering of how sorry USC was
-Tasteless, sexually suggestive T-shirts
-Chants modified with curse words that apparently most of the fan base is familiar with
-More intoxicated (full grown males) waving chicken wings, dancing, and hurling insults to the USC band walking through the tailgating section
-"Pimps", beads, and sexually suggestive stickers are always nice
-LSU Tailgating parties that have a stripper pole

Well let me say that I'm 34 and have been going to games since I was 5 years old (here and away), and with the exception of a few occasions, I honestly and objectively have not seen that kind of stuff go on. Not to say that you are lying, but that's definitely not "the norm".

When I went to Atlanta last year, I had a group of Tenn fans (kids) sitting behind me and heard this fig's mouth the entire time belittle LSU, belittle the state of Louisiana, belittle the people, etc. I know not all Tenn fans are like that though, so I don't judge the entire fanbase of one group of idiots.

Ok, so you saw a typical pregame. What went on at the game that was so wrong?

They're weren't shoving; they were trying to keep their balance.

This is actually a mating ritual (sorta') in Louisiana. If your girlfriend joins in, the attraction grows even stronger!

quote:

When LSU scores or makes a big play, dancing in the center isle or soliciting high 5's from young USC fans

Dancing is a healthy activity & it's also good to get to other team's fans while they're young so they can change team loyalty & piss of their parents.

quote:

Drinking in the stands (they were thrown out of the staduim)

I don't know what to say except that the South Carolina legislature might want to change this law so that fans can imbibe while watching a game without fear of reproach.

quote:

Throwing hot dogs to the visitor section (also thrown out)

LSU fans are widely known as the type who don't mind taking the time to feed other team's fans.

quote:

well rehearsed, ignorant, but malicious chants of a sexually explicit nature toward the home team. There were some adolescent kids in the immediate vicinty.

I'm gonna' go out on a limb and say that they were probably taught all of this, in a very short time span, by the very same adolescent kids you're referencing.

If you think we're unique in this matter, you don't know what you're talking about.

I'll look into this immediately! Not "curse" words...OH NO!

Perhaps you meant to omit this instead; sounds like fine, upstanding behavior that I've come to know, expect, and love from full grown male LSU fans.

I agree! Thanks for pointing out one of the positives!

Did you get their names? I'd really like to, um, check up on them at the next game.

this is a joke right? have you ever been to a football game...this isn't the ballet. Some of your observations sound pretty bad but also sound like a select few.

the above examples are inexcusable

Clemsonfan,
As a Tiger fan, I will apologize for those guys if these things indeed happened. As for is this typical then the answer is a definitive NO. Try going to one of our home games and wear the visitors colors or jersey. Here is what usually happens:

Some idiot comes up to you or someone/s from a nearby tailgate start yelling "Tigerbait" at you or come up to your face and yell. Then, almost everytime, you will be invited over to said tailgate for beer/food and football talk. Talk to some of the VTech fans that came down last year and see what they say. Most of those guys' favorite team besides VTech is now LSU. Sorry that a band of idiots ruined Tiger reputation for you. Most Tiger fans are "extremely" passionate about Tiger football but are downright great people.

You dont get out much do you? I can almost promise you that this happens every Saturday at every stadium across the country....

USC fans remained seated and maintained their composier when their team had big plays ?

Again im sure this happens in at least 80% of stadiums in the NCAA..100% in the SEC

All jokes aside, im sorry for the "Few" idiots who cannot control themselves and make a complete arse of themselves....LSU has some of the greatest fans in all of sports but we are always getting a bad rap for our idiots...but they exist everywhere... agian sorry !

Let it go man - all the things you describe I have seen at one time or another done by LSU fans.

Classless fan behavior has gotten worse - whether some of the little cretins here want to argue about it or not. In some cases, the greatest defenders you find here, are likely the biggest culprits.

There is nothing funny or clever about being a stupid profanity laced arse in public. Grow up rantards.
