People that can't figure out whose turn it is at 3/4 way stop signs. Or the person that obviously gets there before you, comes to a complete stop, then waits for you to come to a complete stop before they maaaaybe decide to go.

People that make right turns like they have a bottle of nitroglycerin sitting on the dash... Just gtf on out the road!

I hate when people turn into the median and leave their arse in the lane when there is plenty of room for the car if they pull up.

I also dislike people who change lanes into merge lanes and speed up lanes.

Also 18 wheelers should never be in the left lane when more than two lanes are available.

People who don't know what to do when a red light has lost power. It doesn't mean you get to fly through the intersection.

basically ANY braking at cruising speeds. I will often see their brake lights come on, seemingly randomly, while going like 55. You basically should never have to use your brakes when cruising except for unique/acute events that really require maneuvering. I'll also add here that people have no idea how to defensively use the accelerator to get out of bad situations...they ALWAYS fricking brak

This. So much this. I can go on interstate without hitting my brakes. I'll coast to a crawl before I hit the brakes.

Boy I fricking turn red when a car with no one for hundreds of feet ahead just starts hitting their brakes.

I’m guilty of this when idiots decide they need to drive 35 in the exit lane for a mile before the actual exit

Coming to an almost complete stop to turn right, almost begging you to rear end them so they can get out holding their neck and call Morris bart

People who merge onto the interstate at 90 mph into the slow lane and think you're the dick for not immediately dropping everything to swerve out of their way.

I'm all about accommodating traffic merging onto the interstate but not if you're trying to enter at a ridiculous speed.

When merging, the person behind in the shitty car going across the white lines to get in the same lane the person in front is heading towards.

I will be happy when they have self driving cars. I can handle business instead of dealing with frickups and the frickups won’t be fricking up because they won’t be driving, the computer will. Win win.

Moving from their lane on the Interstate to your lane (in front of you) to pass somebody that was in their lane...but then NEVER immediately getting back over to their original lane once they passed. (This is sort of a more nuanced "going too slow in the left lane" situation)

i understand for passing normal vehicles BUT if im passing an 18 wheeler im going to give them a good amount of clearance before getting back in his lane, and it pisses me off when people behind me merge right in front of the truck to get around me as soon as they have room.

My big one is when I stop at a red light - wait for traffic to clear and turn into the correct lane - then the a-hole behind me immediately runs the run light and guns it into the left lane. All of this happens when I need to change lanes to turn at the next intersection. I seriously want to fight these people.

In fact - anyone that drives with aggressive acceleration annoys the frick out of me. It's hard on your vehicle and it makes driving for everyone else dangerous. It's not a drag race motherfricker. Some day I'm gonna hit one of these dumb fricks doing this and my 8,000 lb truck is going to send their tiny little Corolla flipping on its roof onto the median.

People not paying attention the traffic jams at intersections and still try to get through the light only to find themselves stuck and blocking the intersection for the rest of us. Only time I’ll really just lay on the horn.

Also, people will no tags that park in handicapped spots. Absolutely drives me insane.

he’s not talking about moving into the opposite flow of traffic. You seem to be one of those who could cause no cars at all to be able to make the turn if there happens to be heavy traffic. That’s kind of ridiculous.

Eh.. I’ll take this over the idiot who pulls into the middle of the intersection to turn left prematurely, only for traffic to back up on the side street - causing him to sit blocking the middle of the intersection when his light turns red.

--a variant of #2 above: on a divided road with a median, making a left turn and not pulling the entirety of their vehicle into the gap in the median (thus, continuing to have their arse stick out in the moving lane).

What burns my arse is when a car is turning left onto the divided road (usually from a smaller cross street) and the driver pulls into the gap diagonally, blocking any other vehicles from crossing the median.

He has the right of way being in the intersection though. He won’t get stuck at the light.

You’re the second person in this thread who doesn’t understand what should be done in this scenario.

I’m aware that he has the right of way once he enters the intersection.

That being said, there are plenty of intersections in BR that can take a full light cycle to fully clear. I’m not saying drivers should always wait for traffic to clear before pulling up to turn left. I’m saying that sometimes it takes some situational awareness. If you’re going to get a left turn arrow in 30 seconds and the street you’re trying to turn left onto is going to take 20 seconds to clear, you’re causing more harm than good by pulling forward and blocking everyone else for 2/3 of their light cycle.

Personally, I’ve been burned more often by cars blocking the intersection with nowhere to go than I have by cars waiting to pull forward to turn.

ETA: It’s really no different than when you’re going straight through an intersection and traffic is backed up in front of you. Common courtesy is to wait until you know you’ll be able to get across before entering the intersection. Is it illegal to get stuck blocking the intersection after your light turns red? No. Does it make you an a-hole? Yes.
