They are gonna have a hard time working their way back to the top starting out at 13?

The computers are hating on them too. 19th?

Once LSU waxes Bama's arse, we'll be fine.

Bad OOC schedule. AU has been worse than expected. Loss to UF.
I'm not too worried-I didn't think a NC was in the cards this year anyway. I was hoping for a New Year's day bowl game. But if we can sneak into a BCS at large berth, that would be icing on the cake.

our best win au went down the shitter. We should move up in the comp polls pretty good if we beat uga and bama.

I don't expect us to win a nc though. texas if they survive okie state and tech will be undeafted, penn state has one test left, oklahomo somehow stayed in the top 5 i don't think they lose again. usc is back in the hunt despite a terrible loss.

Because as of right now our best win was yesterday. If we take care of things we will more than likely have a shot at the BCS CG, but I think most fans would be more than content with winning the SEC West (or if we don't going 9-3).

As much as I hate them (admittedly a recent history kinda thing) I'd love to see UF wax USC in the championship that would make my day.

he's making a reference to the campaign they had for Pete Carroll. At the time it was two-pete...

That's actually a BCS National Championship reference. It seems LSU was involved in a controversial situation involving USC and a BCSNC a few years ago.

But of course, not having been involved in the BCSNC, you wouldn't understand, now would you????

I think having not played a game (NT) due to Gustav affected their ranking.

Absolutely agree......a NC this year is really out of the question, but if we can manage to get a BCS berth, then that's better than what UFAG did last year following their NC in 2006......

That was an intentional miss-spelling referencing the pete Carrol thing. one-peat instead of the claimed repeat champs of '03-'04.

Ive always thought that we are in complete control of our own destiny, even after our one loss(assuming penn state looses). Beating Alabama, Georgia, and coming back to beat Florida in the sec championship would be hard not to impress. Unfortanetly, seeing SC sitting at number 5 and us down at 13, it makes you wonder if we will eventually be able to jump a one loss SC. Also, imagine if Texas goes on to be the only undefeated, and Oklahoma dominates the rest of the year but gets left out of their conference championship. Would a one loss OU(and that one loss coming from an undefeated number one team by a touchdown) be thrown into a NC rematch with Texas before a one loss SEC school?

I think LSU still controls their own destiny for a return to the NC game. If Fla wins out in the east, that would mean if LSU runs the table we would have beaten 3 top ten teams to end the season. In that scenario the computer love would come and the respect that the SEC champion is currently getting across the country would propel us above any other one loss teams.

Can we do it? Who knows. I would say with a freshman starting QB the odds are against us, but crazier things have happened so I'm not giving up yet.
