The government of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has authorized Russian troops, planes and ships to deploy to Nicaragua for purposes of training, law enforcement or emergency response.

I mean, it’s no threat, right?

Russia is considered the 2nd coldest country in the world. It is is colder than Finland, Iceland, Greenland and Canada. Only Antarctica is colder. What could go wrong dropping a bunch of murdering, raping Russian soldiers in a sweltering, mosquito-infested tropical jungle in Central America.

Our track record in Nicaragua doesn't jive with staying out of it.

I don’t know.

What I do know is this: the world saw a U.S. “leader” yesterday who can’t even stop a bicycle without taking a header. As long as he’s around, Putin and other fricksticks around the world are going to test our limits. They’d be fools not to.

It does put forth an interesting dilemma for those who condemned Russia for invading Ukraine out of fear of having NATO on their doorstep.

Shoe’s on the other foot now.

Nicaragua is a sovereign nation. If they want to put ICBM Tsar Bombas in their country its none of our business.

Am I nailing the Atlanticists talking points right?

Russia will never have the means to project power to the CONUS, even if they have assets in Nicaragua. The Ukraine debacle has proven that their conventional forces are a paper tiger.

Yeah, gotta be honest, that’s a name I hadn’t heard in forever. I’d forgotten all about him

Inflation, soaring gas prices, and now communist insurgencies in Central America: it really is a return to the late 70's

This just shows you have no idea how they are shredding Ukraine and you clearly don’t know their objective. They aren’t going to destroy cities like the US does

True. But for the purpose of ranking the countries, I framed it that way.

But the other countries I referenced ARE countries….SO, I guess that means that technically, Russia is the coldest country on Earth. Better?

I’ve seen footage from numerous cities the Russians and Ukrainians have fought over. They are very much wreaked.

My friend, an army nurse was just sent down there for aid. Part of it was for our “presence”. This could get interesting
