Think about it like a sports team with a really bad record over the last 50 decades; perennial bottom dweller. If that team suddenly had a good year and had a chance at a championship, that fan base (while overjoyed) would be more scared about the potential opportunity being blown than coming through in a big way and potentially setting up foundations for a franchise.

TLDR: It’s much easier for people used to losing to handle more loss than stand up and demand more wins

I don’t hate USM for what they did today or yesterday. I think LSU underperformed slightly, but that’s not on USM. To be honest, I hope they go run the gauntlet now. I do dislike their fans a little more now though

Has passed. I’m superstitious as hell when it comes to baseball. Always have been. As a program, I feel the “always wearing the same jersey at (insert random time here)” shtick has gone from a positive to a negative and now just feels childish to the point of embarrassing. It’s not like we gotta get rid of the jerseys completely, but we should grow up and embrace whatever the next shtick is. I’m going to be informing Jay tomorrow so I have no doubt it’s as good as done. But of course, I know I can’t make this decision without letting it pass through the rant first. So I can’t wait to hear all of your optimistic/uplifting thoughts on this
