Seriously this cluster that is in charge of our government needs a major distraction to absorb some of the heat right now. I wouldn’t take anything coming out of the news right now at face value.

Let them stack up a 7 mile convoy in the north bound lanes of the Pan-American Highway and see what happens to it. The entire Russian economy is only the size of Texas' and transcontinental wars are spendy. Even if they had an army big enough to invade the U.S., they have neither the money nor the logistics to keep them supplied. They lack the Naval assets to get supplies here. We OWN the seas.

I’m sure this is average. The coldest part of Russia is Siberia in which hardly any people live. The coldest village on Earth is in Siberia. It’s average temps year round are below 0. Most Russians live in areas with similar climates to Northern Europe, which is still cold obviously. A somewhat related interesting fact is that something like 70% of Canadians live below the northernmost point of mainland US.

There are already some pretty big caravans marching north from down that way unchallenged. Maybe all they want is a base of operations with access to the chapinos and cholos throughout Central America and Mexico.
