And do u buy 1/2 a bitcoin or full?

Mine was too high. I bought a ETF with BTC probably holding 40-50% of the ETF weight…..I bought that ETF when BTC was $48k …down from $69k so I’m probably down 50-60% on the ETF…..I couldn’t tell you a good entry. The overall economy and investment environment is in tumultuous times.

Would not invest in it at all, but if I were to, I'd short it...not if, but when it's going to go to zero.

Entry point is whenever price has stabilized for two weeks or more IMO.

No. BTC is headed to Zero. The exchanges are in trouble. It’s all a house of cards that is about to fall.

Which exchanges are in trouble exactly? Be specific.

If you are going to get in, take the amount you want to invest and spit it up into 4-6 equal chunks. Inject it Into the market with buy order limits at various levels so you can dollar cost average in and not try to time the bottom.
I personally have an automatic buy set up on Coinbase that buys X amount of dollars every week. Been doing it for years. Also do it on DRIPS for direct stock purchases.

I'm doing the same thing on Coinbase. Using their card for bitcoin rewards also. I hope it stays down or goes deeper for a bit. Won't change a thing about adoption. The hash rate is higher today than it's ever been. It's not going away. People don't understand what it is.

Doesn't the lowered price also make mining and hashrate also much lower, to the point of low to no profitability? Could bitcoin fail from a lack of data mining if the energy/hardware/rental cost to run scores of dedicated systems starts to be canceled?

This. When this nonsense ends, very few will have made some money trading these crazy swings, but $0 is the price it eventually goes to.

Fortunes will continue to be made and lost, but make no mistake, as other posters have said, Bitcoin is going to Z-E-R-O.

Better play the lottery than buy a crypto currency right now….
I agree it’s going to be the future at some point but in what form and etf?

1. Dot coms
2. Mortgage backed securities
3. Tulips
Manic, cult-like ‘investors’, ignoring any traditional methods of valuation, driving prices almost exclusively on emotion and speculation.
But this time it will be different.

37 trillion, by 2030, for an asset that's backed by nothing, and returns you 0.00% per year.
The entire us stock market is only about 40 trillion.
God damn the dumb is thick with this one.
