Confronted by the pizza delivery gal tonight.....

How would the OT have handled this situation. Wife is out with her family for a couple days. Me and the boy wanted to order a pizza and watch some baseball. Guys night! Simple pepperoni special online order. Between delivery fee, tax, 20% tip...an $11 pizza turns into $25. Whateves.
Gal (no pics and you don’t want them) shows up. I take the pizza, say thanks. She throws back a “That’s it???”
I respond that I tipped 20% on the ticket to which she says they hardly see any of that. I just say thank you, and have a good night.
She sits there and stares at me for a while and yells, “Must be nice living all comfy in a big ol house!” Mind you, we live in your typical DR Horton neighborhood.
Maybe this gal was having a bad day. It’s sort of simmering on me hard. I know the economy sucks. I don’t want to call Pizza Hut and get her in trouble. What are the OTs suggestions? Thinking about finding out her contact info and sending her an invite to join my family for church next s Sunday.

I'm personally over this new world of tipping we're living in. You can't go anywhere without being forced to say no to a tip....even when you go to them.
I hate it for them, but 20% is generous site unseen. She needs to get over herself.

I would have politely closed the door but would have been fuming like a mofo on the inside.

This is why I don't like the tipping in advance on delivery orders. If they are rude, or late, or otherwise give bad service they already have your money and it is a hassle to get it back. I would call the pizza service and at least get my tip credited back. Would probably end up with a free pizza if they have a decent management team.

I know they don't get the delivery fee, but why aren't they getting the actual tip?
I'd tell her to go frick herself, especially since you paid the tip before the service was even given to you.
