I'm thinking of all the boomers in my firm who really need to retire. This is not helping things.

Mid 30s here. Increased my contribution from 3% to 10% a few weeks ago, when I saw things heading south. Hopefully it pays off years down the line. (If I could afford 20% as market values tumble, I would.)

Been having a personal Roth that I've been throwing $200 into every month since I was 19 years old.

Just looked and it's lost $5k since 4/30/22.

I hate that twat Biden.

I am buying more share today then I was a few months ago. I’m over 15 years from retirement so likely will correct by then.

I'm 4 years from retirement. Was planning on going at 60. May put it off until 62. We just have 1 car note but I was planning to do a lot during retirement. I don't want to sit at home and watch tv

I've raised my contribution to the max I can afford (Still have to contend with inflation on food and gas after all)

When market capitulation hits, it will be a good time to be a long way from retirement still. I'm looking at it like more money for later

It really is not, it got over inflated the last 2 years..down another 15% and it will be fair value..when you give everyone extra money for a while it inflates everything..inflation?? The money is about to be leaving in a huge hurry..look at credit card debt and net wealth...buy again in around a year

I’m about 5 years out from retirement and honestly, my 401K has weathered all of this shite pretty nicely. I elected long ago to focus on growth through dividends. Dividends aren’t glamorous, but over the course of a career, they add up to a nice chunk of change.

I seen this shite in 2008. Guys who were planning on retiring at the end of 2008 all of a sudden had their retirement down 35-40%.

Im no economy expert, but I don't believe a consumer economy is good long term. We create very little, when shite goes wrong and people all of a sudden don't have money to spend or prices spike up, that trickles down.

I think businesses like walmart hurt the economy because it killed local family businesses and without going into detail I think places like walmart and other big box stores have played a role in instability.
