Depends on what Costco sells lol. I prefer them as a whole but more often they have the precut. I only get the precut if the bones are about 8-9 inches long still. Sometime they cut them to short.

I’d also like to smoke brisket more often but usually Costco only has $70 briskets. The $44 one I bought one time barely fit

I think I’m just going to order this actually.
Amazon

Don’t know why I didn’t think of it. Not quite the amount of extra space I’d like but it’d save me hundreds

Consider ordering a rack setup from the ceramic grill store if you are going to expand. I’m super pleased with everything I have from them

I have a fairly large reverse flow offset that produces quality food. I purchased a traeger a little over a year ago just to see what the fuss was about and for convenience. Most people that eat my BBQ prefer what comes off the traeger vs. the offset just because you taste the food along with a hint of smoke. I have had food off of a gravity feed masterbilt and it was phenomenal.

I usually stick with briskets around the 14# range so from Costco I'm looking at less that 60 bucks, That would almost fit on a Weber 22", but you'd have to be really good with temp control (I'm not on that machine).

Have you considered selling your BGE and adding the profit to the $600 to purchase a bigger ceramic? I have the Primo XL and it's pretty spacious. At least it keeps you cooking on the ceramic and it will last for a long time.

I don’t, but my egg is hotter towards the back than the front. I’ve never really paid that much attention to the top v. bottom though just because I always use thermometers. I don’t switch my ribs though and I haven’t noticed that the top racks cook faster than the bottom or vice versa.
