And I will be doing so with my 80+ year old parents. We will all be gritting our teeth as this entitled little snot tells us of his woes trying to live in NYC.

He has 250k debt from NYU Film School and at 30 years old still vagabonds. How do reach a kid like this? For fricks sake at 30 he's not even a kid anymore, or at least shouldn't be.

I know what my response to this post would be if it weren't personal. But stating the obvious would create so much family turmoil, it's really not an option.

While ya'll have a pleasant lunch tomorrow, think of us who are having to deal with societies lunacy first hand.

I thought when I retired I was done with uncomfortable lunches.

Are you sure those are the correct pronouns?

You blame him for all his failures and tell him to man up and pay his debt like all men in the family do.

If he mouths off, you call him a man baby not worthy of being in the family.

Drink Bourbon. Then you’ll speak the truth you’re afraid to speak. Dam the consequences

Ask him what his plans are for paying off the debt. If he says I am planning for Biden to pay it off.
Simply stand up, wish him well, grab your parents and get the frick out.

Leave him the check.

I can’t imagine feeling like I couldn’t make very normal, rational comments for fear of missing out on more painful lunches in the future.

Speak your mind respectfully.

Just be honest and tell him all of his problems are due to him being a gullible stupid arse progressive fig.

Brag, be as obnoxiously arrogant as you can and treat him as if he were the tablecloth.

Be cordial for the hour or two and then let him go back to his miserable existence. Appreciate your station in life more because of the choices you made.

You pick up the tab for everyone there but him. Show him the difference between a man and whatever the hell he is.

250k in debt?! I've no idea what "film school" costs, but wow. I hope he's at least had some projects, things lined up? I know it's a longshot, but maybe there's a chance he finds success and pays it off? Otherwise, I agree with other poster whom advised drinking bourbon.

Well the best thing that could happen for him would be Biden to forgive his idiotic student loan debt so he may as well be liberal
