He threw 120 pitches 2 days ago, tomorrow being day 3 he will be available for 1 inning at best and that is a stretch.

Arkansas just used Connor Noland who threw 88 on Friday.

He lasted 1/3 inning and gave up the lead and 3 runs.

Bring on a kid who threw 120 on Friday...

reminds me of Houston 2014

quote:

Cougars reliver Jared Robinson (5-1) entered to squelch a rally in the third and stymied the Tigers for the better part of the next six innings. He faced 15-straight Tigers without allowing hit until the eighth inning.

Jared Robinson, who threw 91 pitches in a Friday start against Bryant.

I'm not worried about Tanner Hall. I'm just wondering if LSU can hit anyone, after watching them lay an egg against a a bunch of guys with high ERA's today. I mean, this was the bottom of their barrel, and now, they'll have at least some good pitchers available in the next game. This was where LSU had to get it done. I'm not saying it's impossible, but we are set up very poorly. Hilliard on two days rest after 55 pitches makes him available, and that's about all we know. Expecting him to go more than maybe 4 innings is a stretch.

We really gave this one away. Walks, bad outfield play, and bad at bats. Hope they can flush it quickly,

Have you watched much LSU baseball, this is when a kid normally should only be able to throw an inning or two, but steps up and goes 5 or 6 innings of virtually no hit ball. Have you not seen this happen many times before ? Cause I have.. Throw in the kid is from Zachary and wasn't recruited by LSU ??. Can't you just see that storyline writing itself ?

I bet they use him for at least an inning or 2. I am not opposed to that. But we would need to hit the pitchers they throw first. He is not going to be their first or second option out of the bullpen due to him throwing so many pitches on Friday
