Not even gonna make a suggestion. If I can get a serious answer, what do you guys on here

Suggest? Again, if a serious answer can be made? I’m not here to suggest anything. I’ve read this “room” for years and nothing will play here. But, the status quo can’t be your answer? Right?
All that happens here is a lib pipes up, and gets shite on. Or one of the regulars on the board finds a dumb Beto-esque quote. Which is red meat to feed this crowd.
I want to flip this discussion. What do guns rights folks suggest? Take guns off the table or put them on, you decide. Either way what’s an idea?

I’d be in favor of limiting the size of magazine to a max of ~10 bullets. I’d also be in favor of only allowing 18 year olds to buy shotguns and bolt action rifles.
I still don’t think there’s anything that’s been proposed that could’ve prevented the shooter from buying his arsenal in Texas. He’ll pass any and all Background checks at his age with no record

As a group, Dems and MSM crap on family values. Someone mentioned the lack of father figures amongst most mass shooters. You don't have to be religious to have morals. You just need someone to teach them to you.
To fix the Chicago type violence, you have to instill the idea of being a benefit to society. The duty to have a legit job and take care of your family. When people are using gang culture to "earn" a living, that leads to violence.

Get guns out of the hands off bad guys.
How?
Vigorously enforce the laws already on the books. No more wimpy DAs dropping charges.
Increase penalties for felons and drug dealers who are caught with guns in their hands.
Make sure any gun convictions committed by minors go on their permanent record and are not dropped when they turn 18.

Stupid arbitrary numbers are stupid.
This would outlaw majority of 9mm in private ownership today (Glock standard is 15+1 because most amateur gun owners don't do the range much and are terrible shots).

You can’t just “take the 2A off the table” you goober. The conversation starts and ends there. To try to make an attempt at answering what I think is your question, absolutely nothing put forth would prevent shootings. Murderers aren’t generally too big on following the law. We can attempt to address it in other ways through mental health, warning signs, and encouraging more people to train, practice, and carry firearms, then hope for the best.

I think every gun law in this nation is against the constitution except one. A felon should not be allowed to own a firearm.
