That was a small dude - they were about the same size. At first I thought it was two chicks fighting. I doubt that would work on a 6'2" 200 lb man.

I dated a girl that was a violent drunk and she tried that kind of shite on me - I just picked her arse up, put her in a corner and held her down until she calmed the frick down.

SONOMA, Calif. (KGO) -- A school beating in the North Bay was caught on camera, but it's an unusual fight that is going viral on social media.

In the video, a female high school student can be seen taking down a male student with a quick move then striking the boy in the face twice. Now, school officials are responding.

The fight between two students happened at Sonoma Valley High School in Sonoma last week.

A witnessing student posted video to Facebook, which caught the attention of professional Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter Kit Dale.

“I sent her a direct message and I asked about the video, 'What happened and would you mind if I posted it?'" Dale said.

The school district says the girl goes to nearby Creekside High School. Students say the boy, who attends Sonoma Valley High School, made comments on her Facebook page. She confronted him then he threw water at her. That's not captured on video, but what is has been viewed more than 12 million times on Dale's page alone.

"I posted it with a caption of what I was told, what I heard from one side of the story and it just sort of spiraled out of control," Dale said.

The district released a statement saying administrators took "appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with established school district policies," but wouldn't elaborate on the discipline or policy.

"I always encourage people to learn martial arts to one, have the confidence to walk away so it doesn't affect you, but if it does and you don't have anywhere to back away, sometimes you're going to need that to protect yourself," Dale said.

Dale says he was bullied as a teen, which is why the video resonated for him.

"Whenever a video goes viral and there's people arguing back and forth, it shows that it affects a lot of people," he said.

Students tell us the girl was suspended. The boy suffered a black eye and is attending school.

In a letter sent home to parents Tuesday, the Sonoma Valley Unified School District says "comments were posted about the incident containing inaccurate information and by persons not having firsthand knowledge."

The school district has not explain what information was inaccurate.

The Sonoma police chief says officers are looking into the fight and the girl could face a charge of battery on school grounds. The case could also be referred to youth and family services.
