No it won't.

Americans are fat, stupid and lazy. There may be a handful who will try to pull something cute, but in the end StG is going to remain BR.

The only thing you can do is vote with your dollars and leave that cesspool. Give it back to the streets.

At least part of the appeal should be whether Broome and LaMont Cole even had standing since they were private citizens and not representatives of the city parish.

EBR parish council didn’t support this so they did it on their own with private donations which is sketchy as hell.

Somewhere, someplace, this judge got some Benjamins in his pocket.

My question, is will a vote of the people, overturned by a leftist, cause any eyes to raise and someone to complain?

Action against some of the businesses and people who bankrolled Broome and Cole should be on the table.

I don't think it's up to him to decided if a city can or can't balance it's books. It's up to him, in my non-legal mind, to decide if the election was lawful, tallied correctly.
It's up to him if the state constitution says it is. That is ambiguous and will be decided on appeal. Then on appeal again.

LOL no it won't.

It will just speed up the process to becoming Jackson 2.0

More families will ultimately leave. Broome will be replaced by some other bigoted a-hole and the cycle will never change.

There is an opinion. Should be on the courts website at some point if not already.

If I can find a link I’ll post it. It’s a decent opinion. I still don’t support the ruling though.

The judgement and written reasons were filed today. If you look up the case on Clerk Connect the image of the pleadings are not yet available.

Pockets of cities all over the country need to do this. It’s essentially a redistribution of wealth which is spent of bullshite that doesn’t even help the people in need.
