No longer on the USM roster? He’s a true freshman, curious if anyone might know his status.

Big kid, can hit. Also pitched well in HS. Wouldn’t mind if he found his way to LSU.

If he was good enough to play at LSU he would be there.

Not to be a dick but if he isn't there it is probably because he couldn't cut it. With that said if he couldn't cut it there he probably couldn't cut it at LSU either.

He had a 7-10th rd draft projection. He can play.

And to be fair USM has its share of players who could cut it at LSU.

Husser was let go to make roster room for the upcoming class. He has the size and some raw skills but isn’t close to being ready to contribute on the mound or at the plate in high level D1 baseball. Going JUCO to develop would be a good move for him.

Thanks for the informed response.

That doesn't mean he can play now. It means he projects to be able to play.

Baw from Toula was ranked #8 ahead of 3 LSU commits for a reason in state last year.

Class of 2021

Just say you don’t know or have no clue.

Ponchy you know anything?

There’s always an adjustment in college life.
SLU in the future?

Right, probably like most kids projected at that range of the draft. Many of whom make immediate impact on college teams.

But Woodshedking answered my question. I hadn’t followed the kid much since he went to USM.

Well being that the USM fan said he left because he couldn't cut it I would say I was right. Nothing wrong going Juco and highschool player rankings are wrong alot. I hope he does well at Juco and gets drafted but using High School rankings as evidence that he belongs at LSU was clearly wrong.

I was just looking for more details.
Why no redshirting or reasons?
I know baseball doesn’t have that luxury like football as far as numbers.

You have no knowledge about the kid, your take was based on nothing but a feeling. So congrats on being “right” I guess.

Thanks, you are clearly to close to the situation to have a rational response to what I said.

You’re probably right. Last time I saw the kid he was in HS and a good, humble kid. I was looking for some factual info on his status, which Woodshedking provided. Wasn’t looking for uninformed opinions on why he might no longer be there.

But the assholes or as you said “not to be a dick” always find a way to “contribute” to every thread. Looks like you realized before you even typed your message that perhaps you were being a dick.

He definitely needs time to develop but has upside. I don’t think the decision was as one sided as the USM poster makes it sound. They redshirted basically their entire freshman class and he probably won’t be the only one to leave.

You do realize that we take several JUCO kids every year. And now with the portal we take kids from smaller college programs. Don't get where you comment is coming from.
