Any fellow poors with Verizon or Verizon prepaid notice they are not receiving calls. Verizon is working on the issue. My ole lady's calls from prison are not getting through to daddy. I hope the soap is still on the rope!

I have yet to hear from him.
I have Verizon.
So possibly?

Verizon is for poors now?

It’s actually more expensive than AT&T so I’m not sure what he meant by that.

Verizons service has been absolute shite in southeast Louisiana since Ida.

Not that great here in nw Louisiana too. Had some funky issue where I could not get calls or text from non iPhone users a while back. Lasted about a week or so then all of a sudden started to work again. I’m not technically savvy enough to do that on purpose so had to be a service issue.

I went as far as factory reset and still didn't solve the issue. I called Verizon and they are aware of the problem and it's currently being maneuvered back into proper operation. Eta not provided as I approach the 24hr mark. I pray momma ain't in the turtle suit behind this SNAFU.

Ha. Welcome to Verizon. Verizon sucks.

Dumbasses with Spectrum/Charter cut the feeder fiber to our nearby Lily, Inc. cell tower yesterday. Literally cut it, covered everything up, and left. Crew has been out there fixing that shite for 18+ hours at this point. They’ve got the tower back online, but it’s still using the backup feed. So, it’s slow as hell.

AT&T should be the "poors/losers" cell phone company.
They replaced Sprint.
Verizon is better than any of the others.

Verizon service issues
just switch over to T-mobile
verison and AT&T are total shite and will always be total shite, they buy service from T-mobile to use their towers because their own towers, either dont work, or they are too few and far between, to get decent service

Agreed…I switched to Ma’bell last fall because of it. I couldn’t make a call or get decent data in my house with big red.
My own concern is that Big Blue depends too much on batteries and if there any prolonged power outages and they are unable to deploy generators in a reasonable time. AT&T customers are screwed.
At least the Verizon tower sites I visited either had natural gas generators or diesel generators. Now with Ida, the biggest issue wasn’t the generators for Verizon, it was the fiber lines being cut after the storm from falling trees or trees being cut and landing on poles or lines being unearthed from falling trees. That is why they had so many problems for all customers. Wireless or even wireline customers. Also, there were a few towers that are probably needing some antenna adjustments, still after the storm, but climbers are unable to climb the towers due to structural issues.

I upgraded from a Note 10+ to the S22 ultra. The new phone has issues receiving and sending text messages and it is constantly switching from 4g to 5g. And there isn't a way to stay on 4g until Verizon figures out the 5g coverage map.

All of the cell providers suck! I’m in a place out in West TX right now where only AT&T has service. No other provider works. This is a popular vacation destination with lots of people, which is all the more frustrating.
But, next month I’ll be in a place where only Verizon and T-Mobile have service, not AT&T.
My solution: I have both AT&T and Verizon service on my iPhone which results in about 95% coverage. And when I don’t have both, the other line shares the active line - right now my Verizon line is using the cellular data on the 5G AT&T line and I’m getting calls like I have real service.

I had better service with Verizon in the middle of nowhere Texas or on side of a mountain in Montana compared to my home on the Northshore. I actually have to go sit outside to be able to talk to people on the phone.
