Agree. I was just explaining the downvotes. Some people will attempt to never see fault in cops, but yet bitch about government run agencies. Maybe we should let them know some cops are no different than than the moron who wants you to pull a permit to put a fence up.

The cops in my little town are also each issued an M4. Every single one. Plus, every cop car I've ever seen has a 12 gauge in it.
They can't claim to be "outgunned" in any one-on-one scenario. Someone might have more skill and experience, but more firepower is unlikely.

This, among many reasons, is why you can't wait/rely on the police to help you. Even if they're willing to jump in, they're usually minutes away, when your life might only have seconds remaining.

The main duty of cops is administrative: they exist to write insurance reports for traffic accidents, secure crime scenes, conduct investigations of crimes and other such procedural duties. Yet too many police forces mainly exist to create revenue to justify their existence.
