Titleist DCI 990
After going thru the driver thread and seeing the posts about the 975D it made me thing back to the irons I had around that time also. I found a set on eBay and I’m trying to talk myself out of getting them, but they were such great irons.

I haven't owned many so my current Mizuno JPX hotmetal 220 would be my winner.

Had these years ago, very underrated irons.

Hit these from when I was in high school until a few years after when I had to slowed down how often I play. You had to be on your game to play them but man I loved that set. Being young having a set with 69 in it was a built in joke so that was a bonus.
It's been probably a 15 year gap since going back to Mizuno but this is probably my favorite set I've had since the MP-69's.
Pretty sure it's going to take this thread to help me remember a few of the sets I've had. Although I've played since I was 13, I haven't necessarily had a ton of sets.

Just remembered a set I had that were pretty special to me. Callaway Hawkeye's with a graphite shaft.
I mentioned in the driver thread that when my parents got divorced, me and mom were really poor. But she loved seeing me play golf and do good at it so even though I didnt have all the clubs I wanted, she bought me an expensive set of irons. They were probably $1,000+ at the time. She was a school bus driver and waited tables because she had to take care of my grandma and my dad didnt pay child support. Thinking back on it, I dont know, that probably wasnt too far off of a months salary for her.
My mom passed away in an accident we were in a little over 6 months ago. Stuff like this makes me cry
I wish I still had that set.

I'm playing my AP2's this year again, but still have my MP-33s. They will let you know when you hit off-center but IMO when you pure them, there's no better feeling club

Had a set of Hogan tour issued in college. Amazing set.
Most recent were a set of MacGregor JNP. Another incredible forged club.
Just switched to a set of Calloway X20 Tour. Getting used to them.

Had a set of Callaway S2H2 irons with the UST Tour Weight Graphite shafts in the mid 90’s. Great set of clubs.

Still use the good ole green dot eye2’s. I’m not a spring chicken and my irons are quite a bit older than me.

Easy.
I loved the Wilson Gooseneck Irons, I hit them until the chrome was long gone.
Definitely my favorite set of irons of all time.

It’s amazing how the new Hogans look just like that set.
