I need a list (hate going to New Orleans).
I’ll start one, but would like other suggestions:
Dragos
Desi Vegas
Ruth’s
Boulevard
Austin’s
Vincent’s

Who doesn’t like Poboy shops and Italian?

If Station 6 counts as Metairie then that is your answer.

Oak Oven in harahan was very good when we went. Make sure to have reservations though.

Anyone been to Brasa Churrasqueria?

Desi Vega’s is not Vega’s Tapas. Desi Vega’s is a steakhouse owned by the same ppl who own Mr John’s steakhouse. They have two locations. One in NOLA and another in Heritage plaza in Metairie. They also own a burger joint in harahan. Now Vega’s tapas is closed and now the chef who had left there long before it closed, now owns Station 6

Thanks for the correction of my stupidity. I had the names all mixed up.

Dabs
There is some truth to what Lester posted. I would add Hispanic cuisine to his list. Plenty of those, especially in West Metairie.
I have heard great things about Gendusa's (Italian, Kenner) but have yet to try.
I've never had a bad meal at Austins's. Some have been fabulous, others decent.

Cafe Giovanni was excellent…mentally tasting that stained glass oyster dish right now.

There is zero culinary creativity going on within Metairie, brether. Enjoy your $35.00 soft shell crab tonight at the Galley
