Yeah they missed bigly and stockholders are paying the price. Go woke, go broke.

Of course, many are blaming this on the supply chain and inflation. I guess when the competitors release earnings the real story will be known.

It’s probably a little of column a and column b.

I love it. Target has to choose between admitting their woke policies are driving down profit or admitting that inflation driven by the Fed and Biden economic policy is crushing the supply chain and increasing the cost of doing business.

Every major corporation is woke. It has nothing to do with target’s earnings miss.

I'm trying to wrap my small brain around their motives. Are they scared to get sued by tranny Tammy which would necessitate bad press?

It doesn't make sense for them to dismiss the bulk of their customers to satisfy 0.5% of mentally ill people.

You're willfully ignorant of economics if you don't think this is playing a factor for everyone. Good businesses can sometimes work around this though.

It's slightly funny to be honest.

Every earnings miss people on this board use as an example of 'go woke, go broke' but when 'woke' companies smash their earnings' targets (say like Microsoft), this board ignores them.

The more likely explanation is that going 'woke' has nothing to do with whether a company meets or doesn't meet its earnings. Outside of a few internet users, nobody purchases or stops purchasing based on how woke a company is.

Used to go to Target on lunch to check out the moms walking around. There was one tranny that would occasionally shop there. Was basically a guy in a dress. Made no attempt to look feminine other than wearing a dress. It was like finding sasquatch every time we spotted him.

Walmart recently released their earnings and they missed as well.

So did Amazon.

Most retailers seem to be missing their earnings target.

So yes, it makes it more likely that it's the supply chain + inflation causing issues when most retailers seem to be hit by it.

No mention of the $10 million they donated to BLM as part of the reason?

Walmart missing earnings should be a red flag to the economy as a whole.

They aren’t doing anything stupid to draw people’s ire at the moment and are known for their logistical network as compared to other retailers.

If they are missing earnings, it means the supply chain stuff is a killer.

Target? They put a target on their backs between BLM shite and tranny bathrooms.

Their price per share was in the $70s in 2019 and was $250 a month ago.

Target is woker than most, but it has nothing to do with the earnings miss.

Maybe a few extra pedophile and mental illness toilets will get people back in the stores?

Uh.. that was in 2020.

Why would a $10 million donation in 2020 be part of the reason they made a loss in the first quarter of 2022?

Even though I hate Target, this is probably a safe bet. The supply chain was/is killing every business right now.
