quote:

On Saturday, May 14, a young white man drove hours from his home to a Black neighborhood in Buffalo, New York, and opened fire in a crowded supermarket, killing ten people and maiming three others. It has since been confirmed that this was an act of terror aimed at Black Americans

quote:

Bungie and the Black at Bungie inclusion club have worked together to respond to this tragedy.

We are currently showing our “Be Heard” Pin on the front page of the Bungie Store. Starting today, and for at least one year, all profits from this pin will be donated to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a charity whose work includes monitoring hate groups and other extremists throughout the United States and exposing their activities to the public, the media, and law enforcement.

In addition, our studio is committed to supporting the success of our ID&E initiatives for 2022 and beyond. We understand the fight for equality and equity is not easily won but is a constant effort by all people.

quote:

Far too often, these racist attacks begin within online communities that are used to recruit and radicalize individuals. It is time we begin to examine our practices and see what part we can play in preventing these tragedies.

Apparently their Destiny is to virtue-signal their way out of business.

So some crazy mf’er (who needs the death penalty) shot up a grocery store and now everyone has to go through diversity training modules before playing a video game, got it

Looks like a last minute submission for SGDQ. Hope they included their pronouns in their application

Black at Bungie is racist for capitalizing ‘Black’ and not ‘white’.

Disgusting organization.

Also, where the hell was Bungie when the Black Supremist drove a truck into a crowd and killed innocents? I'm sick of the goddamn pandering. The guy who killed those innocent people should suffer, make zero mistake I am not supporting that piece of fricking garbage, I'm just sick and tired of companies picking sides.

It’s only fair that they speak out about Buffalo since they were so vocal about the Waukesha Christmas parade attack.

Oh, wait, never mind, that one didn’t fit a convenient narrative for them to exploit. Whoopsie!

I always find it interesting that the response is usually to segregate into black vs white instead of unifying together against the crazy.

I am convinced there are certain people who want racism/black v white argument to remain around forever.

TCGPlayer, a local to Buffalo, addressing the other shootings more than other companies

This is a great statement

why are they openly trying to virtue signal, when their focus is games?

Why give your employees raises when you can "stand with them" for free?

There are quite a few out there actually. People have made fortunes stoking the racial fires in this country.
