Daniels just posted some elite numbers in the drills. I think that cements him as a legitimate top 10 now.

That's often how it is with the Euro types. The amateur draftniks don't know much about them until we get to the combine and close to the draft. The teams are often well aware.

The guy could stink I have no idea. He does seem to be very fluid, great passer, high IQ in the clips I've seen.

I listen to a lot of NBA draft pods and they've all basically said the same thing, he was on the radar as a first rounder when the season started, but he was HORRIBLE. Started the season averaging like 4 points on 24% from the field and kind of fell down boards. But closed the season averaging 15 on 48% from the field, and showed some other skills offensively.

Kind of goes hand in hand with the discussion this morning. Daniels moves really well for his size, but he moves at his own pace.

Hollinger just dropped his top-20 prospects and Davis isn't on it *ETA: no Branham on it, either. Has to be just really shitty writing.

It’s been frick John Hollinger since he peddled that stupid bullshite earlier this season about the Pels leaving town

Bias aside, his analysis has never impressed me.

People who want Griffin are causals who don't watch college basketball.

Griffin is this year Harry Giles

Can I assume you have no interest in Sochan if we stay at 8? I realize there are others with far higher ceilings...

If he falls Ivey, but he won't so either Mathurin or Daniels.

Nba draft net has Sharpe falling to us at 8.

He is a bit of an unknown.

If he doesn’t interview well, it could happen.

Got me thinking, do teams have trades in place before the draft, dependant on Player X falling to spot Y in the draft?

Or any scenario really. Seems like a lot to decide in 5 minutes whilst you're on the clock, if there were no discussions before hand

Supposedly the Kings owner has stated that they are making the postseason this year and wants to make a run at it. So they are shopping the pick for a vet or vets that can make an impact.

I can't think of who that would be, but maybe a trade up by another team with a disgruntled player. Or they ship out Fox+pieces for a player (Harden) and then take Ivey. Lots of possibilities..

Lots of variables to work out. IF we are planning on going away from Hayes and IF they think they can fix Duren's FT shooting, I could see us taking him.

True rim protector. While one of the youngest players in the draft, he already has an NBA ready body. Very effective rebounder. Likely to have an affordable 2nd contract. Has time to develop while JV is here but can also provide JV rest.

I don’t have a name yet but don’t feel the Pels are picking a bad defender.

I would like either AJ Griffin or Jeremy Sochan.

Wouldn't be disappointed with Bennedict Mathurin or Johnny Davis either.

Johnny Davis

Davis may be the most polarizing prospect for me.

I like what he does defensively, but I worry he's kind of pigeon holed into just defending wings.

Offensively I like his ability to pressure the rim and his midrange game, and with the midrange ability and being a pretty solid free throw shooter you have to bet on the outside shot developing. But I'm really worried how he plays within an offense when he's not the #1 guy.

Yeah, IMO he's more of a sixth man type of player.

ETA: Which I'm not sure is a great fit if the plan is to play Zion as the point guard with the second unit. Whereas I think someone like Griffin or Mathurin would fit in that scenario almost seamlessly as an offball shooting to compliment Zion. On the other end of the floor, I think Sochhan would fit great next to Zion to be able to guard the opposing team's best player when Zion is out there with the second unit.
