Same here. I sent this:

I am writing to request a Discharge Petition be written which will take this Bill to the Senate Floor. This has recently been done successfully with another bill.

The political game is now being recognized that there are a vast majority of others that do not care about their constituents but only the political machine.

Again, my family is asking for you to offer HCR3 in the full Senate to discharge and have a vote on HCR3 in the full Senate to make sure Louisiana is not the only
state in the country mandating the Covid vaccine on our kids!

Everyone needs to send this to the entire list.

Mine was a tad more terse:

Senators,

After the appalling unprofessionalism displayed by two of your collogues yesterday in committee (one of whom refused to vote and the second who could not be bothered to even show up and refuse to vote) I am requesting that you offer HCR3 in the full Senate to discharge and have a vote in the full Senate.

Ladies and gentlemen, what is the point of right leaning Louisianians continuing to vote for Republicans in this state if when presented with the opportunity to represent the very constituencies which elected them to office they vote contrary to their wishes? What is the end benefit in having huge majorities if when push comes to shove our state is governed as if it was democratically run? If this mandate stays in place, Louisiana will be the ONLY state in the country with a Covid “vaccine” requirement for school children. Even California has relented and removed this from their books. Can there be any argument made at all that this is either medically necessary or that It reflects in any way the will of the people you represent? If not, why are we even discussing this as a possibility, let alone begging legislators to remove it?

Finally, please do not rely on the cop out issue of potentially being able to opt children out of this mandate. Anyone that has read the opt out requirement is aware that it would only take TWO positive Covid cases at an entire school and all unvaccined children could be sent home for two weeks and upon their return be masked for an additional week. This is madness.

Thank you for taking the time, and please get this done and represent your constituents.

Sent my e-mail of dissatisfaction to that SOB Pope yesterday. My child is a few years away from school, but it doesn't matter to me...this is the Rubicon. Livingston being a VERY conservative parish...does Pope think that this was going to be okay? I really hope other residents of Livingston Parish are doing their part. Not that I think e-mails or messages or letters are actually being read.

Cortez is a POS! From what I understand if vote gets to Senate Floor HCR3 will pass. 4 Republican Senators would vote against (Mills, Pope, Cortez, and one other) but it would not be enough. Currently R’s hold a 27-11 advantage so they don’t need all of them. That’s why getting this to the floor is so important.

Lawsuits will be the only remaining option after this
