She has done a good job; let her alone.

No. She hasn't performed that poorly to deserve to yet, although its fair to question the direction we are headed right now.

But she should make some changes to her staff/program. Baring the COVID season that was cut in half, they have lost more games each season the last 4 years and now will probably not even be hosting regionals for the first time in over 8 years.

I like Beth but she needs to make the necessary changes. Its not all "youth" which has been alluded to. We were "young" last year, it is then we are "young" this year, and next year they will be "young" in the circle relying on 3 true freshmen to pitch with Kilponen.

If she doesn’t catch a grip it might not be long. Teams in the SEC have passed us up for sure!

Yes. I think she will likely be the next coach to go. Probably a season or two away. The trend indicates this is coming. However she may make some needed changes. Depends on her honesty with herself.

Unless she makes some changes the program has reached its ceiling. You can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

I think she’s a really good coach. The regular seasons have fallen off a little bit but they have still have been pretty good in the playoffs. As an established coach like her you need like 3 really bad seasons in a row or downward trend for the program for like 5 years

She certainly isn’t the caliber that is becoming the norm. That said, I still like her.

Might want to take a look at the incoming recruiting class before we count her out.

She has played brutal schedules the last 2 years, I’ll give her that.

But I expect more. Especially in the circle

This thread is full of MA's and MAMM's.

The program is stale, mediocre and in need of new blood.

LSU Alums don't like mediocrity in any of our athletic teams.........

So many folks like Beth. That's fine and dandy, she's probably a really good person but her job is to coach and win championships. Her teams are formidable but the consistency toward greatness is lacking.
Reminds me of Nascar's answer to equality, Bubba Wallace. He always finishes near the middle of the pack. Lots of support and recognition but no room full of trophies.

She has all the attributes of a great coach but I find it telling she continues to not process assistants for better despite facility upgrades, salary raises, and classes that keep getting better.

I said earlier in a threat that I can’t ever recall a program that lacks an identity quite like lsu softball the last few years. I hardly watch lsu these days with life and whatnot but I can just sift through comments and stats and see lsu has declined since Hoover and walljasper graduated…nevermind Howard Dobson failing that duo (

I think she's mailing it in. Maybe one more year at the most.
