ESPN’s Mike Schmitz called him the best prospect he’s ever evaluated. He’s been compared to Kevin Durant but taller. He has best player in the league potential and I feel only NBA diehards are aware he exists. Anyone have any takes on him?

He’s overrated and he will never be an all star in the nba.

I hope none of my favourite teams draft him I am always cringing at the thought of these super tall skinny guys' leg breaking badly when they come down.

If he's 7'3, why not just compare him to Porzingis.

KD is probably the tallest height you can be while still maintaining that elite skillet and athleticism.

The Durant comparisons kind of make sense when you see the way he looks in motion. Durant was rail thin coming out of Texas and their builds look somewhat similar.

Here are some highlights

Yeah the dude has potential to be a beast, offensively and defensively, but for Mike Schmitz to call him the best prospect he’s ever evaluated is ridiculous.
Also Kevin Durant comparison’s don’t make any sense other than them both being stupid skinny like that. Wenbanyama’s 3 point percentage has decreased every single year, and Victor has Elite and super star potential in the paint defensively. Victor is a 69% career free throw shooter internationally, seriously nothing about these guys screams comparisons. They don’t play the same way.
Also Victor has never put up solid numbers, even 36 MPG stats don’t pop off other than blocked shots. How can this dude be the best prospect ever, when he’s averaged 7 points and 4 boards a game in his international career?

I don’t think his traits are much different than Chet’s. His temperament seems different tho

I’m just excited to bump this thread in 5 or 6 years when he is dominating the NBA.
