I didn't have many I hated. Most of the issues, were probably my own issues.
I did have a professor at University of Houston when I went back to get my history credits. I took the large intro history class that had 100+ kids in it and he was a huge jerk. If a kid was not paying attention he would go on a rant.
I then took him for a smaller upper level class and he was cool as could be. Of course all we did was study the books he had written. Had to buy all of them.
At LSU, my first semester I took this Calculus 1 teacher who was German. Couldn't understand him at all. I aced calculus in High school, but struggled in his class. 1st test, class average was a 33. So he ended up adding more tests then stated on the syllabus so we could drop 1, etc. All his tests were tough. Come final time, he has to go to Germany and won't be there for the final. So he gives us a take home final. 2 of the guys in the class paid a tutor to take the answers and then passed them on to me. The tutor couldn't even do all the questions on the test. I got out of that class with a B and was happy.

i generally didn't like, but had some respect for, the female accounting professors
eta: i had an isds class instructed by some arab/desi guy (ardakani or something? early/mid 2010s) who was an absolute disaster in every aspect of instructing a class. i complained to the dean and got an A in the class.

I had one at UAS, teaching history. Pat Fitzgerald.
Dude was a beast and wouldn't allow any source he disagreed with. If you disagreed with him on any historical subject you were screwed. Discussion was simply for him to make sure you held the company line.

I don't remember any college instructors that I hated. In fact most were really cool.
Now in jr high school I despised my band director.
Mark Walker. He redefined prick. I liked band until him.

There were a few. I had a sociology teacher was a raging feminazi.
First day of class, this 300 pound lump of tattooed man-hating anger opened the class with:
"I am a lesbian feminist. I am a Marxist. That's right, I'm a man hater and a castrater. So don't try me."
Now this was the Mid 90s, and most of us hadn't been exposed to psychos like this. Not like today where they're a dime a dozen.
I couldn't drop the class because I needed the credits. I just skated by with a "C".

Dr. Louis Gimbreed. I probably misspelled his name but I dont give a shite. He is dead now and the world is a better place. He was a geology professor at USL in the 70s. He was the worst teacher in the history of teachers. Arrogant, totally unhelpful, perfect a-hole. He was only there waiting on retirement. Unbelievably he was the head of the department.

CM posters (the older ones) will say Duncan Kinchen. But they'd be wrong. That dude was an old school baw that didn't put up with anything.

Who was the very big fella that ran the accounting department at LSU a while back? I think he was from Ohio state?
Dude was ruthless.

Had a sociology professor that was on her way out at LSU...made it clear she was leaving for a REAL college not just a glorified football team and couldn't wait to be around actual intellectuals etc etc etc. Well that bitch as a final frick you didn't show up to the final..had someone pass it out. It was garbage.... questions like who was the editor of the textbook, on which page does a windmill appear etc. shite no one could pass.

I had a professor for Physics II at LSU named Dr. Grenier. Spoke with a heavy French (not Cajun) accent. I had to sit on the edge of my seat and focus on every word he said because half of them I did not understand. He would drone on and on and do problems on the black board. Took a couple of tests and then dropped the class thinking I will take it with a different professor. Next semester he was the only one teaching Physics II so no other option. Take it again and get a little farther into the semester and dropped again. Next semester, guess what? He is the only one teaching the class. I pick up my syllabus the first day of class and only showed up for tests. I used the class time to study and got my C.
Had a professor for Thermodynamics 1 that lectured clearly and informatively. Gave good homework and tests based on lectures and homework. An amazing concept. Made an A on every test and the class. This was my first Mechanical Engineering class and I thought I just needed to get into my major classes and things would be easy. LOL at that thought. Also this Thermo professor retired after that semester so I never had him again for a class.

He was one of those types that always tells you the textbook is wrong and he is right
So how does that work regarding the final? Give correct (textbook)answer or the one the teacher is looking for?

Professor Hale, Advanced Accounting. Class was tough enough but he called on people all the time. If you gave the wrong answer he would basically humiliate you in class.

Vikki Mayfield, business law at UT. I had a paper due one morning and my girlfriend at the time comes down very sick and her blood pressure spiked to 200/110 - which is basically on the verge of death. I stopped what I was doing and rushed her to UTMC immediately. Got the doctor to write a note to my professor explaining what was going on. I went to the 3:30pm class that day (my class was 9am) to turn in the paper. I explained to her what happened and in the most sassy, bitchy face possible she looks at me and goes “oh no, I’m so sorry! You could’ve turned it in early. I’m going to have to give you a zero.” I stood there for a moment, then I called her a count, walked out of the spam can auditorium, and immediately dropped the class. Thankfully I only went down to 12 hours and just took a different professor the next semester.
Freshman year honors English prof Becky Bernhardt was terrible as well. She clearly hated me because I wasn’t some stuck up perfect little angel like the rest of the kids in that class. She accused me of being racist on one of my papers when all I wrote about was how African Americans value bling and outward appearance in their culture.

Sociology 101 at Southeastern - Dr. Castro.
Communist indoctrination, pure and simple. Dude would stand in front of the class and rant about his left wing opinions for 90% of the time. I wrote a scathing letter to the President and in the student paper about that a-hole.

i dont think i hated any professors. disliked a number of courses i needed to take, but that's not t heir fault. none of them tried to make it a miserable experience.
