I was kind of surprised. I thought there would be at least one Dem who watches The View.

Probably some political survival in there but I’d take it if I lived in LA.

Lyndy Boggs was basically sidelined in Washington because she refused to cave to the NAZI abortionists in DC.

I'm guessing the Advocate is not rushing to carry this story as well?

Last few polls I have seen, Louisiana is the most pro-life state in the country. This isn’t that surprising given that.

I guess it’s the higher Catholic population?

I’d like to naively think they are representing the voter’s wishes since that’s their job. But I’ll take it either way.

Yeah, but the Amish up north are the real pro lifers. They don't allow any form of contraception. And if you have less than 7 kids you're a slacker.

What is it, 55%?

If Louisiana is 55% pro-life and we’re the most pro-life, it’s probably a losing issue nationwide

NYT poll from last week had LA at 59%.

Good thing it’s not (going to be) a nationwide issue anymore.

And we’re not that many people. You know Cali and New York have got to be in the 20s if we’re at just 59, and that’s a whole lot more people

There's a reason the Democratic Party never tried to codify RvW into law through the electoral process in 50 years.

It makes sense. We’re close to, if not dead last in education. Our people are pretty fricking stupid so this is no surprise.

Yes, only sophisticates can see the deep, profound intellectual benefit of child murder. Only backward cultural Philistines value the sanctity of life.

I've had casual abortion discussions with women in La. all my life. I don't know what they would say to a pollster, but during very informal discussions it goes like this:

a. 'I am opposed to anyone getting an abortion'... 30%
b. 'I would never get one but don't oppose other women choosing.'...60%
c. 'I'm pro choice and would get one myself'... 10%

There are a lot of La. women who got an abortion by age 40 who answered 'b' when they were 20.

That's why the courts are so important to them.

Louisiana voted abortion is unconstitutional 63-37% in the 2020 election. Trump Beat Biden 59-39% for reference so definitely some democrat crossover
