What’s the rule on pitch count as far as pitching again the same weekend?

30 pitches and you don't pitch the next day.
That's Jay Johnson's rule at least.

Did you just start watching college baseball?

You don’t want to burn your ace in pool play. Save him for bracket play.

That’s just a general rule. One 25 pitch inning can be more stressful on the arm than throwing 32 in 3 innings while getting quick and easy outs.

You know LSU baseball is on a hot streak when random fans post stupid questions about the sport.

Floyd, Vietmeier, Fontonot in no particular order for game 2.
BMoney should give a solid 3-4 innings (55-70 pitches thrown)
As far as pitch count, for relievers , I wouldn’t expect anyone to throw consecutive games.
Edit: scratch Floyd for Dutton.

LOL…nope, the NCAA doesn’t have pitch count rules. They can count on us to blast the shite out of our coaches should they make the wrong decision…depending on the outcome. If our closer has never gone +30 during the season, he shouldn’t pitch more than -50 and/or -2 games during a weekend. They also have to consider his pitches while warming up. He’ll typically throw 5>10 at max velocity while warming up. That’s why we usually have 2 guys warming up but the coach knows who he wants to go with but…that guys speed, motion, or accuracy may be off. That’s when we see one pitcher take a few steps towards the mound then throws his hands up while the other pitches passes him on his way to the mound. We’re like WTF because we think our flame thrower is always the right choice.
Or 30 IF they can’t grow a beard
