They will sue the state over a state decision to cut their balls off.

Problem is ..... the amateurs I've encountered in their legal offices will get creamed in Federal Court. They'll scream not have the case heard in Orlando. You cannot seat a neutral jury in Orlando. The population hates them.

I can't imagine the legal basis to challenge this. A benefit was conveyed to Disney by the elected representatives of the citizens of Florida and was dissolved by the the elected representatives of the citizens of Florida. Does Disney have a right to the RCID? I don't think so. This is how it's supposed to work.

Hopefully the expenses of them suing will only cost them more in the long run.

Why would they do that? I was assured this was a financial boon for Disney and would only hurt taxpayers.

The only argument they may have is that this legislation was directed at them and was done in a retaliation. DeSantis made quite clear why this was done and it was to punish Disney.

Don't get me wrong because frick Disney but I wonder if they may have some ground to stand on here.

They’re going to fight in court so they can buy their way out of it.

The public will see a court battle. The reality will be the 30-some lobbyists Disney has in Tallahassee will be throwing money around like its 1999

Wait, according to some experts on here, Desantis gave Disney a gift. Why would they sue?

I understand your point, but the creation of the RCID was “directed” at Disney to their benefit and was done so through a constitutional process. It was taken away through the same constitutional process. Seems to me that if you’re “targeted” for the benefit, it goes both ways and you can be “targeted” for the penalty. Otherwise you creat the benefit and it can never be taken away? I’m not a lawyer, but this seems frivolous on the part of Disney.

But the OT told me that this was a big loss for the state of Florida and Desantis fricked up.

Pretty simple. Florida is a Sovereign, Disney are crackpots who just lost their brother in law deal.

Zero chance they handle this. They will hire one of the most prestigious firms in Florida to litigate this one.
