The Ballad of Buster Scruggs

I just saw this recently for the first time. I knew nothing about the movie other than a couple of clips of Buster I saw on Youtube.
What a gem. Could be one of my favorites and nothing like I expected.
I audibly gasped at a scene during the wagon train part.
Tim Blake Nelson should be our new Western go to actor.
Spoilers follow.

Cohen Brothers do him right. O' Brother Where Art Thou is another.

Kind of a polarizing flick on this site but I enjoyed the hell out of it. 1-2 if the stories didn’t really hit for me but the rest more than made up for it

Pretty damn good performance in "Old Henry" too.

I busted a gut when he stomped on that table top and the guy shot himself in the head,......3 times.

the movie was a great idea but absolutely blown execution

Spoiler below:
The Stagecoach portion of the movie was unique. I had to explain to my wife that the people were already dead.

That is what I thought but wasn’t completely sure.
Who were the bounty hunters in that vignette?

My thoughts on it exactly. The stories I liked outnumbered the ones I didn’t.

I loved it in terms of being an experience. Not very rewatchable but I thought it was cool to see so many different emotions and themes in one sitting.

I loved the first story, one or two others were enjoyable, but I did not care much for it overall. I don’t care much for selections of short stories that don’t converge in the end to tell a cohesive story.

Damn, I missed that, too.

I mean no offense, but we’re you not paying any attention?

Yes, just totally blew by me.

You’ve created your own obstacles to enjoy entertainment. Stop looking for things that everyone else does as a norm. You will enjoy art and entertainment more.

Was amazing. Can't believe they haven't made a Buster Scruggs movie with the James Franco and miner character in it.

There are 2 movies I use as filters for identifying people I will get along great with:
Pulp Fiction and The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.
Everyone else probably drinks IPAs.

Agreed anyone that doesn't like Buster Scruggs has some issues.
