Because we flipped the script on the Kurds after we didn’t need them anymore.

Tens of thousands of people have been killed since the PKK, which is designated a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the European Union, began an insurgency in Turkey’s majority Kurdish southeast region in 1984.

The Russia-Ukraine coverage is an attempt to deflect from the domestic problems of the current administration. They're blaming everything on Putin. And it works because of our history with Russia. You can't sell Erdogan as a boogeyman. Most Americans associate Turks with kebabs and funny looking hats.

It's all about Democrat narratives.
If it doesn't directly help Biden, no need to talk about it

ABC and pbs are two major news sources.

Pulls airtime away from Ukraine. And Ukraine is a Marxist jewel for our DC elite for laundering money. They need the bought and paid for media to concentrate on Ukraine so the endless flow of billions to the "war cause" can be properly marketed as a humanitarian crisis.

Did you forget? People are selfish and only want to worry about issues here at home. ""Not our fight"" according to most people. Doesn't matter how many people die.

I don’t believe they’re invading and holding territory. It reads more like an incursion to kill PKK terrorists and the ABC article hints at the fact the Kurd may have OK’d the action:
Maybe this isn’t a possible WWIII event in any case. And no one gave a shite when we abandoned the Kurds to the Turks in N Syria a few years ago.
quote:
The offensive was carried out in coordination with Turkey’s “friends and allies,” the ministry added, but didn't elaborate. Last week, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Masrour Barzani, the prime minister of Iraq’s autonomous Kurdish region, which controls the areas that were attacked.

These are wire stories no one picked up on. And this is something NATO country Turkey does pretty often. Invade its neighbors to kill civilians in other countries for a bit and pull back with zero consequences. Turkey has used WMDs (gas) and terror raids for decades. The blame PKK “terrorist” but can’t support the claim.

A NATO member invaded a US ally and you have dig for wire stories.
Iraq is not a US ally, and they’re cooperating with Turkey against the PKK. The PKK are also the enemy of the Kurdish groups we used to ally with, who are also on Turkey’s side here.
So spare the faux outrage.

So we're supposed to hang our Kurdish decorations up next to Ukraine's?

No I think he’s saying the outrage over other things is faux.
Like putting a Ukrainian bumper sticker on your car. Just tells everyone you know nothing.
