is Universal part of that? i can't imagine what's going through their minds watching all of this.

No. Universal is basically in the heart of Orlando and have had to abide by local governance since their beginning. This would be a HUGE win for Universal in leveling the playing field.

The land theyre currently developing a new park on has been riddled with litigation for decades and would've been easy breezy if they would've had the special considerations Disney has had with the RCID

One thing that I haven't seen discussed in the thread yet is that he should hopefully find a creative way to bury them over filming in Xinjiang also.

Watching the resident left winger in here arguing for a multi-billion dollar corporation to retain special tax credit status is a wonder to behold.

Like I've said numerous times before, left wingers don't really believe in anything. It's all a means to an end and they will discard any principle at the drop of a hat if it's convenient to do so. One of the many reasons I have no use for the perverted excuses for human beings

Says the guy defending the politician that is going after a corporation because they voiced opposition to a bill.

The Reedy Creek charter has clauses for any act by the state that would affect bond holders and residents (aka Disney) for any and all damages caused. If Florida causes pain or forbid shutters Disney then Florida would be on the hook for buying it at peak value. That would be about $2 - $3 Billion in just property / business values. Damages could push that far higher.

And before you think that would be a great deal for Florida, the land is largely swamp land and the state would have to strip all Disney images and naming before anyone could use it as a theme park. That second part would probably prevent them from using more than half their rides / attractions.

You would be paying $5 billion+ for something that might not be worth a tenth of that in Florida's hands. Hell, maybe Disney wants to start over with a new park in Georgia.

Universal is in the process of building new hotels and a brand new, state of the art park, that's conceptually an entire theme park based around the detail and immersion they found gold with the Harry Potter franchise.

While I don't think Florida will take away the provision, all these distractions Disney is bringing on themselves could find them up shits creek in 2 years when USO takes them to the woodshed.

They seriously think right now "Diversity & Inclusion" is their answer to competition, and not better customer experiences, new innovative experiences, etc...

That works when we are speaking about necessities in life. Disney World is not a necessity, irrespective of what the kiddies want.

I really don't think Disney is the problem. It's like the US military - lots of good and normal people run by a few losers with ambitions outside of their current position. Iger is rumored to have his eyes on the White House. These other losers know they can try to force their deviant views on the rest of the country and if Disney sinks, they'll get onto another ship with welcome arms (and unlimited Chinese food served by Uighur slaves). This isn't a Disney problem, it's a national problem that is part social/mass media and part China/globalism. Get rid of the tumors and the body can heal and thrive as originally designed.

And yes I know Iger is no longer the CEO, but he's rumored to be the Svengali running it from the shadows, much like 0bama-Biden.

They are attempting to interfere with the legislative process. They don’t respect the will of the people.

All of you can frick off.

There's a whole hell of a lot more to it than that and you know it.

Once again, you don't truly believe in anything, it's all a means to be an end

How about we support going after them because we don't think pedophilia, brainwashing, and cult indoctrination are acceptable from corporations?

So predictable the Twitter algorithms move the anti DeSantis tweets to the top.

Especially when Potato Head has said over and over again that corporations need to "pay their fair share".

A Disney spokesperson did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

The prospect of a $5 Billion investment in your state can change some laws. Do you think?

No, because unlike you and your ilk there are actually people out there that choose to do the right thing because it’s the right thing to do, not because the wind happened to blow in that direction.

Plus, Georgia would just be one option and probably has less restrictive laws than Florida. They would move to Alabama if the price / concessions were right.

You mean the same alabama that just passed their own version of the bill in that Florida passed that’s causing you morons to lose your minds?

You continue to flaunt your stupidity. Every single post.

Love DeSantis. For years, we had all talk and no action. Trump and DeSantis are the faces of what all republicans should do.

Jeb! Was the best well rounded Governor we have had- he promised and he delivered and he had to work with a very moderate Senate

DeSantis is different- he seems to antagonize people needlessly

If you think Desantis is the one doing the antagonizing you are mistaken.
