That's silly rather than clever.

Good point. I'm sure many wives love going to dine at a place that has arm candy and side pieces on the menu. First class dining, indeed.

I have an irrational hatred for this place already. And a DJ? Really?

This place will be full of nothing but thousandaires in jc penny suits after two months. I just won't be one of them fools.

I'm gonna go check it out because I try to check everything out. But I will say.. nothing I've seen so far in photos, reviews, on the menu, etc. seems mind blowing considering the marketing and hype around it.

Sometimes some people want a true fine dining experience. But In Baton Rouge because of $$$ Everyone wants to cater to drunks in shorts and flip-flops or dumb asses with jeans hanging off their asses. If I'm a snob or stuck up for not wanting to be around that when I'm paying a premium price for a meal. So be it! Free living be.....

Places like LA/NYC have become pretty dressed down when going out to nice restaurants. Most of the 'hip' places that cost a fortune have people in tshirts and shorts and attire that looks like they just got off the couch.

What restaurants are catering to redneck and ghetto trash here in BR? Because thats exactly what you are insinuating

This is my only gripe with the place before I have gone. That wont work in BR with that price point. There arent too many people in BR that are able to drop $200-300 on a 2 person meal that want a DJ playing while you eat. This isnt LA/NYC. My guess is that will be axed with the quickness.

My thought is the DJ is an hourly employee who provides music to entertain, not a Miami night club celebrity DJ.

Supper clubs are supposed to be an event. You go there and hang out for 3 hours, not just sit and dine.

Yea I wasnt expecting Tiesto to take a break from his residency at Vegas or wherever he is at to come to BR and play at supper club.

Every wannabe douche in BR with Daddy’s money will be posting pics of themselves here shortly.

A better question is what restaurants aren't?

I know Leighton well since we worked together for years. He’s definitely not stuck up but this restaurant was mostly funded by Brandon Landry with Leighton having some ownership.

Some old regulars of mine went last Saturday for the soft opening and were raving about it the next day.

I look forward to going to the bar and checking it out.

You know what’s worse than people with daddy’s money? Envious dbags who whine about them because they ain’t them.

Who gives a flip how much money your neighbor has or how he made the money?

On a serious note from talking to some people. The experience will probably average $200 a head. With drinks/wine they spent about $600 as a couple. I personally don't have a problem with that and have easily spent more than that at top end restaurants before.

The people I talked too, raved about the atmosphere and not the food. They didn't say the food was bad, but they talked more about the vibe of the place.

Atmosphere will only get you so far in Baton Rouge. IMO The food is what is gonna have to blow you away for it to make it at theses prices. Ill be going in a couple of weeks and report back.

Went last night. Stayed around 3.5 hours.
Food was amazing.
Atmosphere was phenominal.
Staff and service A+
There were no details overlooked.
DJ was awesome, and tied it all together.
House was packed, everyone was loving it.
Flat out, hands down, the best food and best experience food related, I've ever had. Friend said same.
I don't want to give away any details, because it was surprise after surprise the entire night.

10/10 for sure.

Can't wait to go back

Interesting. I've been amped for this place for weeks since so little info was given besides that it will be so different, but seeing everyone's soft opening food pics really took the wind out of my sails.

There's a place in River Oaks in Houston that kinda goes for same vibe (but way more over the top), and their food is incredibly unique both in presentation and preparation. Supper Club is using a kitchen torch on a crème brulee tableside.. and people are raving about it. LOL.

This place sounds like it's really fun, but I hope the food is good enough to match it too.
