Heading out there in June. Will be staying downtown Denver. Anyone make this trip have advice on transportation from downtown to the Red Rocks and back? Car rental? Can you get an Uber back downtown after the concert is over? Don't see where mass transit goes out that way. TIA for any advice.

They have shuttles from several different locations that will pick up and drop off. Personally I think that is a pain in the arse and I normally just drive.

They do. One of them leaves from the Denver Union Station in LoDo.

Mercantile is a bomb arse restaurant in that station too. Good food before your show.

I went once & was staying a hotel in downtown Denver. I had a rental car for work, so I just drove it out to Red Rocks for the concert & back.

Can't speak about the mass transit option, but I highly recommend Red Rocks. Awesome venue!

Rode up there a week ago today actually

I’m surprised there aren’t more DUI/drunk driving deaths on some of those winding 2 lane roads going up
To it . Seems super dangerous.

Beautiful spot though

It was pre Covid, so not sure how things are different. We stayed in an Airbnb in RiNo and took at Uber out and back. They had a very organized ride share pickup area. It was a little wait, but we knew we did not want to drive and risk getting stopped. There was a constant stream of Ubers picking up after it was over. It wasn't a problem at all.

At we booked transportation. Mercedes bus. $600 round trip 10 people. I would do it if it was just me and the wife. I’m bad with peer pressure so I need a driver.

There’s a bunch of shuttle companies that pick up in Denver (in multiple locations). Here’s one.
Red Rocks Shuttles

Just google Red Rocks Shuttle to find the others.

I used one when I went and it was fun. You can bring your own beer or wine on the ride and they typically pump you up by playing the music of the band that’s playing that night.

Depends on your age. But Bus to show is the best ride I’ve experienced to Red Rocks. They’ll drive you there and back. It’s a school bus. Usually meet at Cheeba hut in different locations in the Denver area. They have a speaker system usually playing the music in the same genre of the show you’re going to. Also anything goes. Drinking, smoking weed. It’s a good time.

I second the school bus. Will pick up downtown. It was a blast. Only rule was to not stick anything out the windows. Have to be committed to staying from beginning to end but definitely worth it.
