I second the school bus. Will pick up downtown. It was a blast. Only rule was to not stick anything out the windows. Have to be committed to staying from beginning to end but definitely worth it. ...
Murren is the most spectacular place i have been. Also, going to the local co-op and buying some groceries include beer saved lots of money ...
i work in a hospital. It's all non vaccinated patients. Hospitalizations are up significantly. We currently have an 18 year old, multiple 20 somethings and 30 somethings, and up. The young patients have no comorbidities. Yesterday we lost a 34 year old with no diagnoses. This wasnt happening prior t...

Just returned from this exact trip. Stayed 2 nights in Rockland and did 2 hour ride on the Schooner Olad in Camden. Highly recommend this group. The drive up Mount Battie is worth the views. Then drove up to Mt Desert Island and stayed 2 nights in NE Harbor (Colonel Suites above their bakery/restaur...

I recommend doing a bike tour of the city... it is informative and quick way to hit the major highlights. You would still have half a day to hit any beer halls after. It's a popular thing in Munich. ...

re: Restaurant Recs for Venice Italy

The best meal we had on our entire Italy trip was at Osteria Al Portego. The menu changes daily based off fresh catch that day. The squid ink pasta was unreal. It is a very small place. We walked in the evening before and made a reservation for next day. ...

I agree on using World Nomads. It is the most reputable. The price will vary on the region you are traveling to. My 2.5 weeks in Thailand were about $160, which is definitely worth it....
The Villa downtown has really good Italian, and the service is great as well. ...

i will say mine round trip was a little over $900. It didnt seem too bad for that time of year as it was still end of high season in Italy. I am sure there are ways to find cheaper if you are flexible, but i wouldnt be upset over something around that price. ...
Wife and I just took trip very similar sept 19-Oct 5 but in reverse order. We began in Rome => Florence => Venice => Murren, Switzerland => Munich (oktoberfest). Best meal we had in Italy was at Osteria Al Portego. We ordered Octopus covered in tomato sauce for antipasti. I ordered Squid Ink Pasta for main course and wife ordered seafood pasta. We showed up one evening and they didnt have any openings so we got our name on the list for the next evening. It i...

we went last saturday and used Gruene River Company. Everyone was very friendly and no complaints. The water in the Guadalupe has been extremely low though.
