Mainieri says, "Nola is boring."

When interviewed by Tiger Rag for the profile in this months issue.
"when asked for his favorite Aaron Nola, Mainieri came up blank. After a long pause spent fishing around in that famous memory of his, Mainieri gave in. "He's really kind of boring." Maineri said."
He never had a relationship with his players. He doesn't have cute stories, because he didn't know the players well enough to know anything about them. I am not stumped, like the interviewer was that he had to think of something to say.

Nola was kind of a square, but one hell of a pitcher.

Bet you are critical of PM because he believed Todd Peterson and you think he should’ve known the Peterson didn’t hit in HS.

I mean that’s kind of a shitty answer he could of just thrown out any big games and said how fired up the team was……but honestly who gives a frick.

That’s why DJ LeMaheui visits him every year? I know one of DJ’s LSU teammates very well, and he reveres CPM. He tells me that CPM was very well liked except by the occasional head case. He says CPM had a hard time being tough on his players because he has such a soft heart. But what does he know? He’s just a player.
BTW, through my relative who played a ton during those years around 2009. I’ve been at several gatherings of that 2009 team. The guys who were there clearly liked CPM a lot, with one exception, who I was told was lazy AF.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Or, and hear me out now, Nola was kind of boring. I mean he tells stories about his players all the time in his interviews.
This is reaching very hard to complain about the man. There is plenty to not like about him. Don’t need to reach for it.

So a generalization about his whole tenure and relationship with all his players is based on one comment he made about the Nolas?

That NC team may have something that none of his other teams had. But, I am close to two of the starters on that team. They would disagree with you.

Coaches love boring players. They don't want kids who they have to go over and beg Hillar Moore not to press charges on at 2am because they hit their girlfriend or something.
Or who go to Reggie's every night before games and practices.

Every coach has a portion of their former players that don’t like them.

bullshite. I know 2 former players personally, and they both have said he was not "well liked".

Are you really that fricking ignorant?
What Maineri was saying for you and the rest of the 3rd grade mentalities out there is that Nola didn't pull any crap, get into scrapes or have a reputation for idiotic behavior. He was a straight arrow player that concentrated on his baseball and studies. There are no embarrassing stories to tell because he didn't do embarrassing things.
I'm gonna bet that he knew his players way better than you know any of them. What motivates tards like you to make up shite about people?
