It's Napa. They pretty much all are.

250 for a cab.
I have had some great napa cabs for 50-75 bucks.

see that you already have Del Dotto on your list. I've been to Napa several times and their cave tour was the best we've been on by far. Ending the tour with the wild boar meat and their Beast wine was a nice touch.
yea of all the ones we went on, i enjoyed del dotto the most.

Kuleto is tight - it’s up on a mountain top - beautiful scenery and place to continue tastings after a tour

Went during Easter…
Del dotto was my favorite. Drinking from the cask in the tunnels was a pretty cool experience. The pizza at the end was delicious.
Did schramsberg too. Not sure which was my favorite but I recommend both.
Didn’t really care for anything else we toured but they aren’t on your list so no reason to point them out.

Went over the weekend. My favorite was Jarvis. Although I don't have much experience, a lot have friends have said it's their favorite. The wines are pricey if you are looking to buy. It's a great cave tour and tasting.
Jarvis is always my recommendation

Goose Cross, round pond and Hess were our top 3.

Shocked no one has said Caldwell yet. One other one I like is Pierson Meyer. The tastings are usually done with Robbie Meyer one of the proprietors and he is a really nice guy. Neither has bubbles but we found the wine quality to be great at the right price point.

It’s a fun time for sure. But John is on his 3rd winemaker in the last 6 or so years. I’m not thrilled with the new guy. JFC puts out a shite load of varietals, but the new guy isn’t up to the task. Cancelled my Smuggler’s Club thing last month. Wine started becoming commonplace and prices kept climbing like crazy.
I’ll still go see him because it’s fun as hell, just not thrilled with the juice.

Domaine Carneros
This is one place we visit each time. The location makes for a perfect first stop when driving in.
Plus we really do enjoy the wine there. We always ship several bottles home. The whole wine sampling experience there is nice while relaxing on their patio. Nice place and nice full scenery.

Exactly what we do. This will be our third time in Napa and will be our third time at Domaine Carneros. We land at SFO at 11:05am, reservation at D.C. at 1:00pm, check in to hotel by 3:00pm. That part is standard routine at this point. Plus a French chateau and sparking wine… it draws women in like a bears to honey. I have no choice LOL.

You cannot beat the atmosphere at Joseph Phelps. It is slightly pricey so it is not a once a trip stop. We do however stop at Caymus every trip and pop into the tasting bar (no reservation). They roll the tasting fee into any purchase you make so you can take a bottle back to the hotel.

Just last night we switched out V.Sattui for Joseph Phelps. We've never been but I'm pretty pumped about it.
At this point we'll be visiting the following:
- Domaine Carneros
- Del Dotto (cave tour)
- Schramsberg
- Cade Estate
- Joseph Phelps
- Far Niente
Thanks for all the help everyone. One that I'm interested in but will have to wait for next time is Pride Mountain. The grounds and views provide a unique feel that you won't get from the majority in the valley. Cade Estate should offer that too though. Another is Quintessa (it sure is pricey! but we couldn't make a reservation time work there).
This trip we are passing on some of my favorites that I've been to before such as Plumpjack, Silver Oak, and Caymus.

really liked V. Sattui. LINK /
Also got a birthday gift card to reorder.
Great wine.
Having been to Italy, I don't say that lightly.
Great.

Darioush looks like you're going to A Versace store in Vegas at first but the wine will win you over.

Just got back from Napa on Sunday. We stopped at V. Sattui on Saturday. 10/10 would not recommend to anyone.

We got back today. Sunday was our first day out there. We just missed you
I'm glad we switched V. Sattui for Joseph Phelps, which was our favorite spot of the entire trip along with Cade Estate. Both had unique settings with amazing views (Cade is probably the best view in Napa - technically up on Howell Mountain).
The wines at Joseph Phelps and Cade were both amazing too. We like the cave tour, sparkling, and red wines at Schramsberg. Also loved Far Niente. Both are solid but not on the level of Cade and JP.
Another smaller one we stopped by unplanned was Alpha Omega. The wine was solid, the views were neat with wine tasting overlooking a pool with water features/fountains, and their production is extremely limited and well-done.

I feel the same. Didn’t want to rain on anyones parade but that was the least impressive winery we went to. And it was our first stop of our first trip. You would expect to leave an impression. Every other place was better.
The wine was good, but so is many other places in the region. So many better options.
