Please allow me to display some schizo-thinking here.
1) I totally agree with you. The media use of “sex cult” is simply a sensationalized news narrative. It also belies yet again the tendency to infantilize women, as if they are powerless to avoid the mean persuasions of men to use their bodies for sex for money.
2) And yet, it IS yet more evidence of a “sex cult”. We are ALL living in a world that glorifies sexual urges and makes it a defining characteristic of people, as well as normalizes every degraded sex act under the premise that if two people agree to WHATEVER sex act, it is good and natural, regardless of their commitment to each other or the long term spiritual damage it does to the individuals and to society.
We can go on pretending that sin isn’t real, but the evidence is everywhere that a society disintegrates when we ignore truth and call sin good.
